lol yeah its towards the end of the 3rd round. just watched it.. massive uppercut, a lesser chin would have been broken.
I was super surprised it stunned Oscar honestly. **** poor technique but was effective. I'm a huge fan of Mayorga but he got lazy after the 2nd Forrest/Spinks fight and it ruined him imo.
f#cking slugfest. in NSB there'd be a sh#tstorm over a thread like this, and nothing would have anything to do with boxing. roids this and fishnets that, etc. i'd do like i always do, and wade through the bs to find the posts of a select 50-100 posters out of tens of thousands.
Yeah the good thing here is no one really knows the great 90s stuff... NE Im so glaf youre here. Did you fgure your background out
the only thing that would have been better than this fight at 147 would have been if they were to fight at 135. i understand that the timing wasn't right, given that oscar's LW championship tenure ended in 95, and shane's began two years later. but they were both best at 135, in my opinion. it would be a fictitious matchup, obviously, and i could see somebody getting stopped. it's a shame that neither spent real time at 140, but that's the rout many great fighters have gone. shane skipped it completely. pacquiao and whitaker jump to mind, too. the money is generally at WW, i suppose.
I think it was the 4th round Oscar almost dropped Mosley. He landed a left hook right on mosley's jaw and mosley knees buckled. It was the only time in their 2 fights one of them looked hurt but it lasted about 2 seconds and mosley regained his senses. I didn't even catch it when i saw it live on PPV, and wasn't until i watched the replay of the fight. The difference between Mosley and Oscar here and why oscar didn't win was gas. When they were fresh, Oscar was winning and ahead after first half of the fight. This is the way Oscar should've fought Tito, i guarentee Tito would've gotten fuked right up. He didn't have mosley's chin. Oscar fought this way because of the pressure from the tito fight and it was the worst gameplan because Mosley was a shade faster. Oh well, the second fight for me was vindication for oscar even with the BS decision.
i did! i got it in blue and white. very nice. i'm glad to be here, my man. it's good to see you posting in big threads like this one. i'll have to get your opinion on the only real question about tonight's HBO fight, IMO: do you think provodnikov will be stopped on cuts and swelling, and if yes, what round? i think he goes 12, personally. i can see bradley taking a few rounds to bust some rust off, and he's not really a big puncher when he turns it on anyway.
