    Where does he go from here?

    Pacquaio was his rival, and he just put a definitive full stop on that series. He's reached the pinnacle.

    Asides from possibly one home coming fight in Mexico to bow out on, I see no reason for him to continue, given that he's financially set, pushing 40 and has his post ring days all set out.

Gonzalez ducks and lands an upward whipping left hook as Valdez comes forward and scores a jab to the forehead. Gonzalez backs up, swinging from side to side. BIG COUNTER LEFT HOOK BY VALDEZ IN AN EXCHANGE!! GONZALEZ IS ON ***** STREET!!

Slap-hooks by Gonzalez sliding off the ropes and tucking his elbows in against his ribs with his fists at his face. Chopping right by Valdez pushing Gonzalez back into a corner again. BIG double uppercut by Valdez. Looping right to the side of the head by Valdez, sending Gonzalez's golden mane aflutter. Gonzalez tries digging his way off the ropes with short body shots, but can't make Valdez budge. Lead left hook by Valdez with a sliding in-step.

    Man I love the way Valdez can fight in the pocket. Also that left to the body is pretty sweet too. Looking like a veteran pro in his third fight. I like what I see in this kid.
