Valdez is putting in the 1-2, lining it up accurately down the length of Gonzalez's frequently broken nose. Gonzalez rolls his skull around behind his forearms, peeking out from around them, playing the role of mole in the arcade whacking game. Valdez walks him down with the left jab and slices a left hook across his liver while Gonzalez bends over while moving laterally. Gonzalez is pinned on the ropes and they exchange left and right hooks until the bell, with Valdez scoring a greater quantity with more speed and snap and mixing up to head and body.

Valdez is hooking, twisting his upper body to ramp up against Gonzalez while he takes a turn and tees off, then pops off a quick uppercut. Combo by Valdez pushing forward. Tony Krebs intercedes.

Decent stoppage, even though Gonzalez wasn't down and was still "defending" himself (sort of) and throwing back.

Valdez dished out major punishment and shortened what probably will ultimately wind up being a short pro career for Gonzalez anyway. He somehow made Gonzalez even uglier than he was before.
