I couldn't help but notice that Pat Russell, that bastion of integrity (cough, cough....) counted INCREDIBLY slowly after Bradley went down in the 12th round.

Bradley did get up, and looked reasonably OK, but can someone who has a video recording check the real time? I have a feeling that Bradley didn't actually beat 10 seconds. (it was close.)

Yes, it doesn't matter, because a ref can do whatever the **** etc etc etc, but I'd still like to know.

I think he was pushed down and the ref gave the knock down because he felt guilty that he didn't give it in the first round. But I'm all but certain I saw Bradley get pushed down.

No. He did the right thing by waiting and taking his time. He wasn't out on his feet.

He waited and timed himself to stand before the 10 count.

1st or 2nd round, he was down twice (second time the ropes held him up)

The knockdown in round 1 should have been called. I would have had it a draw, 113-113.

Top Rank Bradley has officially stolen the title of "American Sturm" from Brooklyn Peter Quillin. It's not even close.

Bradley was very lucky to not have a knockdown called on him in the first round, and easily could have had more than one called on him in the last round. Several times, he staggered and fell back into the ropes, which were the only things keeping him up. Also, the referee broke them up several times when Bradley was hurt.

Bradley is essentially impossible to beat as long as he fights for Top Rank. Wlad Klitschko could KO him and Wlad would get DQ'd or lose a decision somehow.

The fight tonight showed Bradley needed dubious officiating to survive a fringe level 140 pounder at 147. Just a matter of time before a real champion takes that stolen strap from him.

I've thought he was about to fall down way before it actually happened in the last round, hurt badly in the last round earlier. With little more luck Bradley would have been down atleast 1 more time, either in the 1st when it wasn't scored, last rounds ropes kept him up.

We're both coming from the same place here. However, I would go quite as far as you did. Short of a 12th round KO, I think Bradley DID win the fight, (just barely, not as the cards reflected) and you certainly can't deny his courage.

But yes, Russell did everything he could for Bradley short of holding Prov's arms behind his back.

    just checked, now.

as soon as his knee touches the canvas, it takes him 8 seconds to rise.
    it wasn't a stoppage.
