Tyson & Bradley do not have the same body types. Just because they both look strong and powerful doesn't mean they have the same body types. Tyson has more muscle because he is a HW but is not ripped up and detailed like Bradley. Cus D'mato talked about how he wished Tyson had a better body so he would be more intimidating. A body like Norton. To me this is wrong of Cus because Tyson's body is more intimidating the way it is. Trunk of a neck & legs, just an absolute tank.

Name me body-builder looking type fighters like Bradley that have explosive punching the way Tyson does? They are rarely very dynamic, but sometimes have naturally heavy-hands and good power which is just God-given or natural as others have mentioned.

Mass can add to power, but explosiveness is part of the way you are built regardless of your muscle size IMO. Arguello, Hearns, Mosley, De La Hoya. Fierce punchers who don't carry a lot of muscle mass.

There are bodybuilders who would kill for this level of "detail"

There are very few fighters PERIOD who could hit like Tyson regardless of physique.

But guys like Bruno, Berto, Jones, and others all had incredible physiques and were/are able to hit.
Holyfield and Haye both have/had, incredible physiques and were well able to punch although slightly undersized at HW.

Wladimir Klitschko is built like a body-builder and seems to carry a lot of power, even late in fights - even David Haye is a dangerous puncher and he is as ripped as Bradley (or nearly). Be that as it may, a lot of it has to do with technique; Hearns was reportedly not heavy handed until he met Emmanuel Steard - but some guys don't have the aptitude to learn the proper technique.

That's why power-punching has always been an enigma, i. Bottom line: There are singles hitters 'n home run hitters...'n all the kings horses 'n all the kings men can't change it.

These guys are well built but just not as musclebound as Bradley. He's cumbersomely musclebound, and you're correct on technique. Bradley is mainly an arm-puncher.

He's probably a lightweight without all those damn muscles. That may be have something to do with it.

He dose not have the best punching fundementels. He has enough natural power to keep most guys from walking through him, but not enough to score knockdowns or outs.

Bradley's fists don't really move all that fast.

    Speed X mass = power.

He might also have smallish hands, or small bones in his hands & arms. That does make a small difference.

He does seem to plant his feet well, so I don't think the problem is with technique / leverage.

Bradley doesnt put his body into his punches. He throws arm punches without any real leverage on them.
