Wow, do people seriously think that Provodnikov did better against Bradley than Pac?

I really don't know why people are saying that Provodnikov did a better job against Bradley than Pac, other than the fact that he put Bradley down and occasionally got him on ***** street. The guy goes life and death with Bradley, gets his face ****ed up in the process to the point that his corner were ready to stop the fight, and loses the majority of the rounds, with only the knockdown(s) that made the fight closer. Meanwhile Pac, who was clearly not fully there in the fight and was on cruise control most of the time, still has an easy time with Bradley, winning at least 9-11 rounds, and was never in trouble the whole fight.

    Don't really understand the logic.

He definitely inflicted more damage, for what it's worth.

He hurt Bradley a lot worse than Pac did. But in terms of winning rounds, not even close. Part of it is that Bradley's posture was different, he was a lot less aggressive vs Pac.

He may have ended Bradley's career as we know it. That is much worse.

I agree Provodinkov dealt alot more damage to Bradely, but he also absorbed a great deal himself and gave away alot of rounds.

Timmy never stopped to setup shop with Pacquiao or it might have been lights out.

I hope this isn't an excuse for Pac. It's always the same **** (ie, bad training camp, marital problems, political career, etc.). Everyone goes through problems in life. If he can't train properly and be 100% focused for a fight he should retire.

Styles make fights. Bradley was more aggressive with Provo which gave the Russian opportunities to land some of his bombs. I don't think RP is as skilled as Pac but he does appear to have more power. He had Bradley on ***** street a few times after landing one clean left hook. The way you fight an opponent matters. When your strength is boxing and you go toe to toe with a slugger, you are going to struggle - same way Floyd struggled with Cotto when he chose to exchange with him.

    I scored Pacquiao-Bradley 7-5 for Pacquiao.

Scored Bradley-Provodnikov 7-5 for Bradley had it a draw with two 10-8 rounds.

Save for a few rounds, Pacquiao did'nt consistently tag Bradley as Ruslan did on a consistent basis.

I thought that Ruslan's connects were more effective than Paquiao's connects.

I think the reason why Bradley was getting hit so easily by Ruslan was the shape he was in. He was 10 lbs above his normal fighting weight and looked thick from the waist up.
It had to have had an effect on his waist and upperbody movement.

Pacquiao definitely faced the better version of Bradley, lean and trim!

I've seen the fight numerous times already as I have countless other fights and I assure you I can't give Bradley more than 2 rounds against Pacquiao. Anyone that honestly thinks that fight was close or even dares say it rightfully belonged to Bradley is either intentionally trolling due to severe sexual frustration or is mentally incapable.

 This is a good post, Scar.

I gave him three rounds, personally. Struggled mightily to find anything else.
