Why is everyone so fixated on Broner for?

Really we know that he is on the same level as fighters like Matthysse, Guerrero etc.

The industry is just building his name to make more $$.

He is skipping huge title fights at 140lbs to face Paulie Malignaggi!!! Of course he is ducking the division.

Total fools dedicate their lives to threads on internet forums about fighters ducking and dodging yet Broner gets a free pass?!!

He will face Paulie and win his belt and then stay at 147 and settle into the weight and wait for everyone at 140 to move up.

Come on man, how many times has this thread been done.

I'll say it again.. one fight at 147 does not equal ducking the 140 division. He wasn't going to fight any of the top guys at 140 in his next fight anyway, so having one fight at 147 has no real bearing. At this point in his career, when he's still learning, fighting a guy like Paulie is a good move.

The point I'm making is that if he loses to one of these guys i.e how Andre Berto lost to Ortiz for example, there's going to be so much hate on Broner in comparison to the hate on Berto or someone else like that for losing the fight.

Broner's just taking advantage of a money making route.

Would there even be a thread if it said something like 'Guerrero ducking the 140 division' along with all the drama and emotions from fans, around it? I don't think so.

I hate the fact that there's going to be a ******* level hate if Broner loses 'Oh Broner has been exposed, he wasn't even that great' - a real fan of boxing knows he's no Mayweather.

    No,its not set in stone.

    HOWEVER...lets say it is...so what?

If he beats Paulie and goes onto fight Bradely or Marquez or Pacquiao or Alexander/Brook,Berto or even Mayweather, can you really say hes DUCKING 140??

People say 140 is stacked...147 is even more stacked, and its a heavier division!

Maybe Lucas should concentrate on welters instead of little guys coming up.

    :-(

fans will always find something to ***** about. as a broner fan i wanted him to make the move to 140 after he got his little ricky burns fight he was craving for.
but hell a fight with the magic man at 147 for the wba title is not a bad idea from a financial and match up stand point. ok he might be taking the mayweather route and skipping over 140 but its 147, the **** (fights) dont get know easier. its all killers at 147 just bigger then the ones at 140. the way i see it broner is fighting a fighter 10x better then any other fighter he has faced on and off paper, plus moving up 2 weight divisions. you mad because of what now ??
