Bradley was NOT knocked down in Round 1 Video proof

Bradley falling was a result of the huge right hand that landed flush on his face. That should have been a kd. That ref has blown too many calls to count.

I agree with Bazooka on this one. Bradley was clearly hurt by a punch, but then made a move to avoid another punch. He put his guard up and ducked.

He was hurt badly enough that it didn't take much of a push to put him down. But it was a push. Likely a push that doesn't put him down if he isn't already hurt.

 

He wasn't pushed down bro. Watch it from another angle. Bradly was wobbly and he went down on his own.

 

He was badly hurt from the right hand and was trying to grab and hold to keep himself up. He would have never went down had it not been for that right hand that landed flush on his face. It was a kd.

 

50/50 call.

The hook at the end could be ruled as landing with sufficient force to force a kd since it did cause Bradley to lurch forward Then again, Ruslan did push down on Timmy in an effort to escape being clinched and that's untimately what caused Bradley to topple forward onto the mat.

I'd call it a kd, but I can see why Russell didn't.

That being said, if Bradley is down, he gets eight seconds on a knee to recover, and maybe fights a bit differently from that point on. So, saying that Bradley was given a gift by the no-call seems a bit misguided to me.

 

But he did keep his feet after eating the right hand and was making an effort to defend himself. That could be considered sufficient grounds to rule that he was still in control of his legs at that point.

Depends on whether you think Bradley was going to go down anyway after taking the hook a few moments later.

 

The referee was generous to not call it a kd. Bradley was clearly hurt and his legs were gone because of the punch. The right hand was what put him in that situation in the first place. No right hand, no knockdown.

 

Gander posts nothing but junk. But being a Bradley fan, id call it a kd. I guess you say the call could go either way but going down just seconds after a punch like that is being awefully generous.

Video doesn't show the full sequence. Bradley's hurt from the initial right that makes him stumble forward, then a left hook helps him on his way down. His legs were gone and he was trying to hold onto Ruslan. He wasn't pushed down. He was already heading towards the canvas. It only looked scrappy because Bradley made it scrappy. It was the punches that took his legs and sent him down, not the push.

Legit KD. Bradley very fortunate.
