The shot doesn't have to land that very second. If you take a massive punch and 3 seconds later your legs are not strong enough to keep you up on minor contact like that, and you can't even get up or stand straight, you should receive a count for your own protection.

Sure he was, he was coasting and outclassing him with ease. He took his foot off the pedal, for Bradley to win any rounds. And he was in zero danger the whole fight. And he didn't have to make it ugly like Abril.

But yea, I'm pretty much arguing that, at least when it comes to boxing judging, when the margins are so overwhelming. Definitely. This is not a hard science. I've seen fights where there's a consensus a guy was robbed, and I agreed with the press each time. But I've never seen a fight where you had 100-1 that it was a robbery, and I felt the judges got it right.

I too felt the judges got it wrong, but only by a razor's edge.

Thinking Pac deserved it isn't the same as thinking he deserved it in the neighborhood of 117-111 to a shutout. The consensus among serious boxing analysts (which is a minority within the majority that scored it for Pac) is more the former than the latter.

Nobody called for a standing 8, so why bring up amateurs? Pros have safety standards too. How many times you seen a pro fight NOT stopped when a KD is called, the guy falls right back down, and gets up wobbly and leaning on the ropes?

I don't see it, 117-111 is smack dab in the middle of the reported scores. Mean, median, however you want it. I think you have to round it down to get to 117-111.

No doubt some of the wide scores are less credible. But there's plenty of credible scores wider than 9-3, you can check the names. Nigel Collins, Barry Tompkins, Rosenthal, Michael Woods, Jeff Mayweather, Danny Garcia, all scored it 10 rounds to Pac.

Moreover, as you can see hardly anyone scored it closer than 8-4, and even 8-4 was a minority score.

None of that proves that 7-5 wasn't the most accurate view, minority or not. I think Pacquiao got a lot of benefit of the doubt in some of the closer rounds on some cards - both fans and industry types - being the established star and expected victor.

Hell, look at Jim Lampley and his so-called "smoking gun" - I think it was the 6th? - which he dragged out on his show as proof of this supposed horrid robbery, when in actuality when viewed out of context, most cooler heads acknowledge "Wait...no...Bradley actually did quite well there and you could definitely make the 6th his..."

Bradley is not worth hating on people. One, Pacquiao fought a shitty fight and I'm sure the robbery so many claimed Bob was sure behind and possibly Manny was in on it to save public opinion for the JMM 3 robbery. Two, Bradley won the fight and in no way is it a robbery. He fought back like many's definition of a "warrior" everyte he was hurt. His weakness is he has no power becuz quite frankly it wouldn't be fair but his work pace and heart is enough for now.

This why blacks have a slick fighting style because only other races are credited for playing chin, not boxing.

Again, most of those guys didn't listen to HBO. Many probably had different angles, with overwhelming agreement. As you can see, hardly anyone had it even close.

I got no problem with your score, not that I agree. I jumped in cause someone said 9-3 in ridiculous. It's obviously not, cause that was the most common score. Even 11-1 got more votes than a "close score"

    This...^

This first knock down should have been called but wasn't...also had that been any other fighter in the ring the ref most likely would have stopped it in the 2nd and or 12th round...Bradley was out on his feet and could have been hurt, anyone else the ref stops it. Also several times he fell into the ropes on his way down to The canvas, had the ropes not been there it easily would have been more knock downs. But you have to give the TMNT looking muther****er credit, he gets hurt badly time and time again yet somehow goesn't go down and finds a way to win. Bradley has insane heart and I give him his respect, but if Bob Arum wasn't involved then he would have lost that fight.

The Pacquiao fight is a gift, sure. However, last Saturday was a 50/50 fight and those fights can go either way.

I won't argue with either other these, fair enough...
