Pretty much. Floyd is basically a GBP fighter, he's even listed on their roster. He just makes out like nobody ever has with considerably more power... He's not working with anybody else despite the free agent talk and the move was in all likelihood heavily influenced by Oscar and Richard.

    :deal

I don't think Hulk understands that you don't just fight on PPV and walk away with your PPV split and your guaranteed cut. That all comes with "fees"

How would he pay his corner

Golden Boy has been making the exodus from HBO themselves ever since Espinoza was put in charge at Showtime. They'll be fine.

Agreed. And if Showtime has spent a large share of their boxing budget on Mayweather, then it is even worse.

I'm just looking for the silver lining and boxing across all of CBS's platforms is it.

 At the great match making! Canelo/Josesito came to mind right away :rofl

This HBO vs Showtime and GBP vs TR is not good for boxing.

But Oscar can't play the "whichever network gives us the best deal" card until he has a viable option. Showtime will set the budget. Showtime will give Oscar the dates. Oscar will have to fill those dates with the money Showtime offers.

Well luckily GBP's talent pool is deep as hell. I'm really not expecting as many Sho cards as HBO cards, especially since they have the big Floyd PPV fights to make them the big $$

i do not know how I feel about this yet.
it could mean more fights in non PPV events as both camps attempt to get more mind share. But this could mean also lower PPV cost thus lower earning for fighters. lower earning means less talent willing to be pro boxers.

Hard to see how this will turn out.

How much are the UFC fighters making? It doesn't even compare to a pro boxer and I'm not talking about Floyd or Pac who make millions. I'm referring to the other less paid boxers.

Not Oscars fault HBO is now ride or die Top Rank which only has Rios and ped'less Manny. The person I feel the worst for is Max Kellerman who actually is one of the last objective announcers for HBO. Everyone else, don't give a ****. See how much money Jmm vs PAC 5 gets you.

HBO is cutting their own throat. WTF are they going to televise now? They will be running back to Golden Boy in short order.
