Bute was just as much a top SMW as Abraham was a top MW. What was Abraham's highest rank? 3? Bute was rated higher in his class :deal

Yes he was. Bute was rated behind Ward. Abraham was behind Taylor and Pavlik :hi:

The way Abraham is fighting now he'd likely send Bute home in a body bag.
I expect after he puts Robert away this weekend he will continue to win and hope he gets a fight with Bute down the line.

Bute was only rated behind Ward, because Ward defeated Kessler and Froch. Had Ward not done that, Bute would have been behind them.

You could say the exact same about Abraham's placement at 160. Wright, Taylor, Hopkins, etc. how he got to even #3 is surprising.

Yup been saying that for a while, he won't get in the ring with a top 168 lber again, his promoter Sauerland doesn't want him to lose what's left of his marketability. From now on it's low risk-low reward fights until he retires.

Not boxrec, these are world ring rankings. Dawson is rated the #1 LHW you spastic.

maybe the WBO had Abraham as a top mw though...no wonder all his challengers were horrible. :verysad

Stieglitz was one of the worst champions in boxing, the fact that it was close says a lot about how much Abraham has declined. It's perfect for Sauerland, the first fight was competitive and exciting but the opponent is not a top tier guy = €€€

There was a rematch clause. Steiglitz deserves credit for getting back in the ring with someone who kicked his ass & trying to reverse the result.

When his Bute gonna exercise his rematch clause with Froch?
