Bowe wasn't as good as he was against Golota. Can Roy out quick him?

Bowe by brutal KO. the Bowe of the Golota fights is still a much better HW than John Ruiz.

The Bowe of Golota 2 was a corpse and would lose to John Ruiz hands down and I don't know if the fat slob who showed up for fight 1 was any better.

That said Jones was tiny in comparison and wouldn't be able to hurt Bowe at all though his massive edge in speed and talent could make Bowe look really bad. Think of a faster but smaller Herbie Hide or Larry Donald for Jones against a lesser version of Bowe and it has the makings of a pretty ugly sort of fight with Bowe probably coming out on top.

any punch landing on Jones head even on the top of the head would rock him. Ruiz was a light punching fighter and not very skilled. Bowe would win easily.

Why do fans of Roy Jones always envision him in these matches where he would get seriously hurt? Do you believe that because he beat a mediocre, mushmallow of a heavyweight like Ruiz that he could beat any of the more dynamic, harder hitting, just plain BETTER heavyweights of history? Jones cherrypicked like a maestro in fighting the slow, sloppy, plodding, powerless Ruiz...and that was IT, btw..he'd never get in the ring with another heavy, especially one that could crack..threads like these are a waste of time. Bowe, even off his miserably outgunned, pathetic form vs Golota had enough residual firepower to catch Jones at some time or another and put him in a coma. Even more laughable are bouts with Jones vs Lewis, Foreman, Louis, Marciano, etc., in all of which he would get just flat out destroyed.

The question is whether Jones could beat the Bowe of the Golota fights not Lewis, Ali or Marciano.

From having two working eyes and not judging this fight on Bowes' reputation (over inflated as that is) I think this could be a very difficult fight for Bowe. In both fights against Golota Riddick was slow, sloppy, embarrassingly easy to hit and looped his rights so bad they virtually all turned into rabbit punches. Golota as has been proven was no world beater but against Bowe he looked like ****ing Joe Louis by comparison.

Jones was far more quicker, elusive and skillful than Golota could even fantasize about being but is way smaller and not as strong and the massive size disadvantage is the only reason I'd favour the shitful Bowe of the Golta fights over Jones.

yeah, you got to pick bowe in this matchup but your post just flat out sucks. ok, you don't like jones, we get it. roland lastarza hangs around for 11 rounds vs marciano but jones would be destroyed as soon as a punch landed, right?

Bowe often got beat to the punch and outboxed before walking through his smaller opponents punches to land big bombs knocking them out. The only way to beat him even with better boxing is to hurt him. Could Jones hurt his ATG chin? No, the version doesn't really matter it's the same issue of chin/power.

This version of Bowe probably beats Charles, Walcott, Tunney, Dempsey, Marciano, Frazier too

You're wrong.I don't dislike Jones...just reference the recent thread about Jones vs Toney..and since you're wrong already, I'll just point out that I've NEVER posted anything about a quick, one punch ko for Marciano over Jones. Roy should have been so lucky. It's likely that he would have sustained an awful beating from Rocky...the cumulative type of beating that he did Moore in with.
