    May...KTFO Pianeta.

August...Wlad's reign at top will become the 2nd longest after Joe Louis (and the longest ever if you take away Louis' WWII hiatus)

This will of course happen a couple of months before he fights Povetkin.

I think Wladimir will fight Povetkin in August, if Sauerland is willing.

Then, hopefully we'll see Wlad fight a third time in 2013, perhaps Pulev, Fury, Arreola or Helenius in early December.

Not really. Joe Louis was champ for 11 years and Wladimir has yet to hold all major belts and has only been lineal/Ring champion since 2009.

Just being honest here. I like my man Wlad but you can't go comparing him to the level of fighter just yet.

Joe Louis was the world recognized,legit,lineal/Ring champ for 11 years.

Plus,Joe fought often. Not just twice a year or whatever.

    Wait... what?

What about taking away Louis' "hiatus"? What the **** are you talking about dude?

If he wins his next fight it will only be the 14th defense of his IBF title and only the 6th of his lineal reign, if you think he became lineal champ against Chagaev.

in an Era with only 1 title.....I can see how people would start Wlads in 06 when he Became the #1 fighter at Heavy after Beating Byrd....Its Essentially the same thing just differant Eras and more paper titles....People Say Tyson was the Youngest Ever Champion After he beat Berbick but was not Lineal until he beat Spinks when he was older than Patterson....

I think he means Time wise....and Louis was inactive from March 1942 to November 1944 i believe...

Well if he's going by days, Wlad's IBF reign is already longer than Louis' if he was going to be an idiot and count World War II as "retiring" and "ducking." But you're an absolute idiot if you were to do that. Especially since during Wladimir's entire reign, there has been other fighter(s) with as much claim to being champion as holding the IBF title says.

Reign's are judged by title defenses, not years. Otherwise, Guillermo Jones would be one of the longer reigning titlists in boxing right now.

The whole boxing world, along with everything else, largely stopped during WW II.

I guess we should divide the other champions' title reigns and hold that inactivity against them as well. Tony Zale, Gus Lesnevich, and Freddie Cochrane; the welter, middle, and light heavy weight champions, also didn't fight between 42-44.

It gets confusing my man. Tyson won all 3 alphabet titles at age 20 but didnt win the actual lineal title until age 21.

Patterson won the lineal title in one shot because obviously there was only the one belt back then.
I think Patterson was 2 months younger when he won the lineal title.
It's weird because Mike was "undisputed" while Spinks was lineal. Ah! It gets crazy.

    Klittards gone wild.

Louis defended his title 25 consecutive times. Louis and Klitschko are two words that do NOT belong in the same sentence...

But you can't say "Wlad's reign at the top" because up until a year or 2 ago, some still thought Vitali was better. This is the trouble with your brother being a fighter with you. Hell, some folks still think Vitali would beat him. So Wlad's reign at the top began when he was won the lineal title which was in 2009.
