Brilliant picture that, I imagine in the very early 80s. Kong, Khaosai and Samart in there. Samart looks most 'g'....nah, Kong rockin' the Adidas :yep :deal

Is that my front cover? :yikes Now I've seen it on here and not just on my iphone (I've had it a few weeks in my Thai images folder, there's a real, ahem, mix in there :hey) it looks uber cool.

That one I posted before of Samart, Khaosai, Khaokor and Sot could well be the one as well, all with their belts. My avatar now is very indicative of the themes I'm going to explore.

    So this?

I heard Chionoi say he was The King's favourite boxer, and I've never seen The King at a fight praising a boxer. Many fighters (Borkorsor, Saensak) have been to see him and be allowed to pay their respects to him. There are a photo's of them kneeling before him.

But this is awesome. And Chartchai will get hi dues, don't worry about that.

Bus Station looks like Michael Myers here. He was a TANK at bantam, what must he have been like at fly?!? :scaredas:

Now this is a great picture. Says a lot about the Thai fight scene.

Epic picture of laughing Boomsong deserves a mention.

And yes, Bus Station pic looks frightenly good.

A mix between iron-chinned Pacquiao and a stronger version of Ebihara?:yikes

I was thinking more 'hard hitting fly Jim Watt' :D

Size of those legs though. I maintain that he'd have smashed Ohba up if the Jap' hadn't selfishly died.

Bus station looks like a goddamned beast. I like the one with the belts. And if Ohba died today there would be threads about him ducking Venis.

That he does. He'd smash Khaosai to bits at super fly. Or at least jab his head off.

Yeah it is a sweet pic'. I think the 80s will be the most exciting, there's so much going in in boxing, Muay Thai and socially in Thailand (and at the of the decade politically) as well as the strongest in terms of international repute for their Siamese fighters. If anyone has any Ring/BI articles'reports about 'The Thai Tyson' or Sot Chitalada I'd be eternally grateful if you could share 'em with me.

Quite possibly. That counter uppercut he caught Herrera with would've sparked Ohba.....maybe
