Maybe he did or he didn't mean it. But he did say it. Khan's just repeating a plan that's been laid out for him by someone else, yet that makes him arrogant? Besides, as much as people don't like to admit it, Khan is still probably the biggest attraction at 140. That's not to so say he is a big attraction. Just that, compared to his fellow 140 pounders, his name still garners the most attention despite two losses. And that's the reason Khan is being lined up for the winner of this unofficial tournament; because he'll help generate the best payday for any of them. That, unfortunately for many of you, is a fact. And it's why Garcia, or whoever wins it, will be advised by their management team to take it - relatively low risk (because Khan is very beatable) and high reward. Not to mention, aside from all of those guys that are competing -- Judah, Garcia, Matthysse and PEDerson -- Khan is probably the best fighter left at 140. It's not that outrageous for the winner to then face him. After all, Khan has faced 3 of them -- beat one and lost controversially to a cheat -- and he would deserve a shot at the winner more than anyone else out there (outside of those four mentioned).
Khan has beaten more legitimate fighters in this division than the "top 4". It's entirely besides the point anyway, it has nothing to do with what an apparent ass Khan is.
khan is a tool, he should worry about rebuilding his shattered career not what the top dogs are up to.
Khan is not very smart thats for sure, how many times he needs to get KO loss to understand he is not untouchable, he has a glass chin Lucas would KO him, Khan has good skills but should shut the **** up before he loses all his fans!!!
Ding ding, round one goes to Rico! Although, some of the ignorant posters in this thread, including the TS, may not agree.
So by having changed trainer, had 1 fight, another coming up, he should ignore the offer to fight one of the "top dogs"? Of whom he has beaten 1 certainly and in a lot of peoples eyes 2. It sounds to me like he is attempting to rebuild it. And if you were offered this opportunity you'd be a 'tool' to say no. More bitter khan hate.
Yes and what Khan has in confidence. People hate him for no apparent reason. Literally EVERY interview ive ever seen of him, he comes across as a confident and respectful fighter. Now Froch on the other hand is outright arrogant.
Have to say, though, that Khan is probably the only fighter who gets criticized when he fights poor opponents, whilst at the same time being told to shut the **** up when he says wants the best .
Khan has beaten Kotelnik Maidana Malignaggi Judah Arguably Peterson Who in the division has a better resume?
Yeah but Froch hasnt been "KTFO" yet so people don't have a lazy one word response to any thread that comes up on him.
If you work under the assumption (as everyone seems to) that Khan is rubbish, then Garcia's resume starts to look pretty terrible.
:nono You can't just erase brutal KO losses from someone's resume. He has already received asskickings from both a journeyman and, possibly worse, a participant in this so-called tournament. If there is a tournament to be made here, Khan should be right in the middle of it, not above it.
