Yes Floyd is an inspiration and an icon to many. Yes he makes mistakes but some people are willing to overlook that because they admire how well he performs in the ring. He's an entertainer. Pac's had his fair share of wrongs, doesn't stop the so-called entire Filipino nation backing him.

Well i think in the NBA's case that is a fair assumption. They have received gold 14/18 times, silver once, and bronze twice. Just saying. Hell even the world series is justifiable, again its fair to assume that the best players, for the most part, participate in the MLB. Unlike in the nba though there very well could be a majority of non-american decedents furthermore justifying WORLD series.

 

Having dedicated fans and being liked by everyone are different.

In terms of loyal fans, from what I see:

But if we're going by who is generally liked the most, the list differs.

edit: Khan actually could be as high as where I list Vitali. He has tons of guys who worship him, for who knows what reason.

 

pacquiao doesn't have loyal fans. He's too mainstream. Their mentality there is that of a gold digger always eyes wide open looking to hop onto the next big best thing. Hell most of his filipino fans, the fans you would think are the most loyal, have left the forum ever since. The don't know **** about boxing crowd doesn't know enough about boxing to stay around once the fighter they follow is dead.

Many of his so called fans laughed along when he got knocked out. They deserve a big smack for their ultra feminine hypergamous nature.

Cotto, Marquez, and Mayweather have loyal fans. Their fans remained throughout hard times.

pacquiao fans began to fold at the first sign of pressure.
