Roger mayweather has an opinion on joe C? Why is a guy with 13 losses, 6 by K.O talking again? Unify a division then come talk to joe, until then stick to doing padwork.
:rofl DLH, RJJ, Floyd, Pac, MAB, JMM, E Morlaes, James Toney, Lennox, Evander etc fighters i miss(those retired) and fighters i will miss when they do retire i dont give a **** about Joe who defended his WBO belt while others won major titles... :hi:
He wasn't honest though. He claims that he chased Roy hard for 5-6 years, despite never fighting in America or at 175 until 2008. He also tried to back track on his comments saying that Roy was shot and he'd be disappointed to fight him in his last bout. A journalist in the build up to his fight with Roy, asked him about his comments in his 2007 autobiography which were: "Roy was a great fighter, but he's not the same after his losses to Tarver and Johnson, and a fight between us now would be pointless." Joe embarrassed himself to the journalist by saying "Well, I did make those comments, but Roy's had three great wins, and he's now back to his best." The guy's a complete tosser! He hid in Britain re signing with Frank W, fighting the Starie's, Veit's and Sobot's of the the World while clinging to his WBO belt, like a drowning man clinging to a life raft. He's contradicted himself all through his career. How he had the audacity to claim he chased Roy hard, I'll never know. Anyone can see he was talking complete bollocks by pulling up his resume. I've broken down his comment by using a timeline, and it's ridiculous. Bailey's forever posting links of Joe's claims, and then when I break it down, he says "It was an off the cuff remark he made that's all." Joe had to be threatened, when trying to pull out of the Lacy fight. The guy would never have gotten in the ring with a prime version of Roy. I'm absolutely certain that Joe knows that he wasn't good enough to have beaten Roy at his best. I admire honesty. If Joe had've been more honest, he'd get huge amounts of respect like Eubank does. Joe's always played the victim. He wanted big fights, but he was avoided, or they wouldn't pay him etc. Clinton Woods moved up to 175, worked his way up the rankings, and fought Roy, Tarver and Johnson. He could get the fights yet Joe couldn't. The truth is, he never pushed hard enough for them. His ambition didn't match his skills.
Joe Calzaghe to me and what I appreciate about him.... Greatest magician boxing has ever seen. None come close.
Fact Bernard had to fake an injury to get 5 mins of rest because the pace was too much for him. He was outlanded, battered from pillar to post, outboxed, manhandled and ****ed all across the damn ring. I love Bernard but he's a damn sore loser. Joe taxed that ass and he KNOWS IT. 116-111. Deal with it already.
Agreed, he's made numerous racist posts regarding slick black fighters, along with his likely alt Rockybronson as well, just more race baiting.
Word. Bernard was also outmanned that night, shown up as an absolute emberessment, not the ATG he later showed himself to be
