He has better wrestling and a very impressive BJJ-
I give the advantage in standing up to Silva but this fight is going to ground and anderson will lose.

I think Weidman is the the guy who is most deserving for the title shot, but I dont think he poses a threat to Silva.

I give him a good chance, and won't be surprised if he beats the p4p King. Young, hungry, posses a TD, and can finish the fight on the ground. It would be wise for the Champ to start slow and open up after the opening round. Like he did with Okami. I believe if he opens up too much Weidman will get him down. But, if Anderson Silva makes this fight look easily I doubt he'll get the credit he deserves for what would be his 17th victory inside the Octagon.

Doesn't the time off and injury worry you a bit?

He does have a decent chance to beat The Spider. But let's not overlook Silva's defense. When you have him on the ground he isn't a stationary bag waiting to be bludgeoned. He attacks off his back and while he gets hit from time to time he blocks or prevents a lot of shots as well - enough so that he doesn't sustain any real damage. Doesn't he have a very high TDD percentage? If that's the case then I have no idea why everyone keeps assuming he is in real danger each time he faces a top wrestler.

Because this wrestler is equally as good at Jiu Jitsu. Gonna help him w positioning. I garuntee you if there's a sub in this fight its gonna be Weidman subbing silva.

Honestly I think he has a great chance stylistically he is a bad match up for Silva but I do think the time off and lack of experience is a huge factor in this fight. I do feel this fight might have come a bit too soon for Chris.

He has got less of a chance compared to Vitor, Chael, Griffin, Franklin, Okami and Henderson and look what happened to them.

    I wouldn't bet on it.

Fine, but I can easily say if there's going to be a KO it will be Weidman getting finished very early in the fight. And if that happens hopefully people like you will give Silva full credit for beating a guy who is supposedly such a fantastic wrestler/submission artist.
