During the middle rounds, Cotto started taking control of the fight, landing that left hook. I thought he was going to turn the tides but he didn't. Cotto started to look tired and even Trout started to put pressure on Cotto and that's when Trout started winning rounds back. I don't see trout doing this vs Canelo. I analyzed Trout punches as well. Dude doesn't have snap on his punches. Cotto was walking right threw them. People need to remember that Cotto is shot. His face swells up and marks easily. Canelo won't respect his power. You will see.

Canelo doesn't have 1 punch KO power. He has the power that HURTS. He starts wearing you down with time, putting a hurt on you. Honestly I didn't see any snap on Cotto's punches. Like you said, Trout was only buzzed but if Canelo lands them the same way, Trout is going to be more than buzzed. Cotto even landed some very solid straight right's. I think Trout is a very good fighter but I don't think he can handle Canelo. Only problem with Canelo might be his stamina and inexperience. If he's in TIP TOP SHAPE, I don't see Canelo losing this fight. He is going to land for sure. I'm positive. Let's see how Trout reacts.

Cotto was at his slowest and worst when he faced Trout. Canelo is a bigger, stronger version of Cotto in his prime. Neither Canelo or Trout would make a ko, but they are faster than avg and esp Canelo punches harder than avg. A stoppage would be more likely.

This fight will be determined by two factors. Can Saul get close enough to Trout to land some shots? Will Saul get turned around by Trout's movement?

If Saul can keep pace with those factors, Trout's in for a long night. Canelo punches with a malicious intent. Trout is a decent boxer and has decent defense, but his performance against Cotto is not enough to herald him as elite yet. Likewise Canelo has all the tools but he needs to present them against a formidable opponent on a grand stage, like versus Trout.

I've got Canelo to take this fight via UD and possibly even TKO. Canelo matches Trout in size (unlike Cotto) and, trust me, Canelo's punches will have more pop than Cotto's.

Yeah I'm a big Canelo fan but he doesn't have that type of power.

I think Canelo has to set his feet to unload those combinations that hurt you but Trout will not be there. Maybe he can rock him in exchanges. Canelo has long periods of innactivity and trout will pump the jab
