    "Hopkins claims"

    Who would believe Hopkins, the guy is a sore loser and is a pathological liar.

    "A teleconference was set up in my office in New York for July 30th, 2002, and on the call was myself, Don King who was in the room, Frank ****** and Bernard Hopkins' lawyer, Arnold Joseph. Along with Arnold was a woman named Linda Carter, who was there on behalf of Bernard. We asked Arnold if Bernard wanted to fight Joe Calzaghe and we asked him how much money would he want if he did. The response we got was $3million and the fight would have to take place in the United States. After a little scratching of the head, we said 'Okay, done.' Frank ****** agreed on the spot, Don King agreed and we agreed so as far as we were concerned all parties were singing off the one hymm sheet. Arnold excused himself with Linda and I can only assume it was to call Bernard. Either that day or the next day, they came with a new demand: $6million, double the sum that had been agreed, the deal blew up"

    Hopkins priced his own ass out of the fight.

    Then got his just desserts. Calzaghe 116-111 Bernard Hopkins. Hopkins was battered that night, he knows he lost.

    Fact

    Hopkins lost to Calzaghe

    Deal with it already.

    46-0 no blueprint

    Calzaghe > Lacy, Jones, Hopkin

    Lewis > Holyfield, Tyson, Vitali

    UK = 63.5 million
    USA = 315.5 million

    deal with that bee-a-tches :smooch

    Then why is it that some Americans vote Calzaghe fighter of the decade.

    He isn't in my books but a lot of Americans love him.

    Deal with it

    He beat Hopkins :thumbsup

    46-0

    No blueprint. Hopkins priced his own ass out of the fight in 2002. He never wanted a part of Calzaghe until 2007 (Hatton vs Mayweather) when he first confronted him.

    Total **** fighters go 46-0 all the time. You've got a 50/50 chance and flip that coin 46 times with the same result.... Happens all the time ;)

    Well said bro. Thankfully most American fans are respectful of Joe, and the always exciting style he brought to the ring. Of course, the ones who arent - the bitter, resentful ones - spew forth their diatribe on internet baaxing forums :-(

    Chances of flipping a coin 46 times and getting the same result = 1 in 70.37 trillion!

    Chance of going 40-6 = 1 in 7.5 million

    Chances of going 30 - 16 = 1 in 70

    If a boxer went 23-23 he would actually be an average fighter, not a bad fighter.

    Just a little perspective for anyone bad mouthing a boxer.

    Joe was a decent fighter, very overrated by his fans though.
    He was at his best from Lacy to Jones imo.
