Haye is sooooo off balance it's ridiculous. He has no chance to follow up with anything. He completely whiffed with his biggest punch

 

Sultan Ibgraimov was underrated. Very good and smart fighter. Great win for Wlad, he unifies the titles, again against David Haye.

 

Even worse, HBO premiered their Joe Louis documentary before the fight. Talk about massive fail. Worst high level fight (it was the first HW unification in years) i've ever seen live on TV.

I still remember Bert Sugar ripping into Wlad in post fight interviews. RIP :hat

 

Compared to Haye vs Valuev this was a burnburner.

 

I forgot all about that documentary

I remember seeing some of the promo posters advertised for the fight saying " The Russians are coming!".

 

There are various was to defend it to some degree but there's no disputing it was a stinker. Statistically it's a good win for Wlad (Ibragimov was an undefeated belt holder) but possibly did more harm than good to his reputation

What makes me laugh is that if someone talks about a boring Wlad fight his fans run in and start talking about David Haye.

 

Probably because everybody was talking about how exciting he was, then it turned out that when he faced anyone worth a damn he was even more boring than Wlad.

To make Wlad vs Iggy seem exciting is 1 of the most impressive feats ive seen.
