    See my last post.

Roy did not hand pick John Ruiz.

Any heavy in history that fought Roy, could have knocked him out, had they landed clean. But there's a few who wouldn't have been able to land clean.

People always think of Roy getting knocked out by Tarver and Johnson, and then assume he'd have no chance of beating heavies, because they hit a lot harder than those two. That theory is flawed.

John Ruiz could hit much harder than Johnson and Tarver.

But Roy beat him on skills and speed.

If you think that Bowe would have landed flush, then fair enough. But Bowe was terrible against Golota, and I'm sure Roy's incredible speed would have frustrated him. I can envisage Bowe catching him and knocking him out, but I can also envisage Roy staying out of harms way.

    Tell that to red cobra.

The Tyson fight was hard to make. Tyson was in a huge mess financially and with his Showtime contract.

I've heard Shelly Finkle say that a contractual dispute stopped the fight from taking place. I've also read Murad Muhammad's take on the situation. I believe Tyson wanted it, and he spoke to Roy. Even though Mike was way past his best at that point, it still would have been a huge fight, grossing millions of dollars and making both fighters a lot of money.

I was meaning in terms of speed and difficulties posed for Bowe (if you remember Hide troubled Bowe early with his speed and even rocked him at one point) just as a comparitive reference.

But if you want to take it as a literal comparison and work yourself all up over it go right ahead......******.

My apologies for thinking you were comparing Jones to a smaller, faster, Hide literally. I should've known you meant it as a comparison that made no ****ing sense. Again, my apologies.

Hide troubled a decent version of Bowe early with his advantage in speed and mobilty.

Using that as a reference a smaller but faster and even more mobile (and yes talented) Jones could also conceivably greatly trouble the terrible version of Bowe that met Golota depite the massive size disparity.

It's not that ****ing hard to follow is it?

Hide ended up on his ass early. I'm not gonna compared Bowe to Julio Gonzales.

and I mean everything. If Jones wanted to fight a hw then all he had to do was fight TUA who was his mandatory.

There is really no evidence to suggest that Roy could hang with a decent HW. Ruiz was far from decent. Bowe most likely stops him during the first half of the fight.

Tua wasn't his mandatory, Ruiz was mandatory after beating Rahman. And Tua had got a gift draw in '03 against Rahman. He was looking for mega-fights at HW, not a fight with random contenders. Tua was actually having a legal dispute that made him inactive for 2 years during this period anyway.

He fought Tyson x2 and Lewis x2, but now his afraid of Jones:huh

Seeing as how you are the one claiming this then the burden of proof should be on you to prove it.
