Nah, Pirog seems legitimately injured man. It's Geale who gave up his new trinket to fight Mundine (TBF for more money) instead of Gennady. I'd rather have both of those than Chavez or Macklin, but you have to go with what's there.

This is actually far more of a mismatch than Proksa or Rosado.

It's the biggest mismatch for Golovkin since Ishida's countryman, Fuchigami.

Golovkin isn't crude enough to be outboxed by Ishida like Avendano or Rigo Alvarez (who got a hometown gift over Ishida for the WBA title, but did rock him a couple of times) - and hasn't shown any chin issues, let alone enough to suggest Ishida could bottle lightning again like he did with Kirkland and catch Golovkin cold in a blitzkrieg.

Both of the other boxers on Golovkin's level that Ishida has stepped in with, have shut him out.

Rosado at least has power, and was coming off an impressive streak in the division below.

Proksa at least had those unorthodox self-taught defensive skills (although they failed him against GGG) and was once more in top form having corrected the Hope blemish...and is a real middleweight.

Ishida is a natural 154lber coming off two straight losses, whose last asterisk-free victories came four years ago when he acquired and defended the interim title against two C-level opponents. (the KO1 over Kirkland is legit, but there are extenuating factors that can't be dismissed even stopping short of calling it utterly "flukey"...and his next KO1 was over a guy in his pro debut! :patsch)

Golovkin will be the first to knock the big lanky piece of edamame spark out.

Not entirely sure of this. He went the distance with Pirog, who I rate as a pretty serious puncher as well (not on Golovs level obv, but still has some decent pop)

I think Ishida is able to outjab GGG and lose via left hook to the body in the late rounds
