    Valero is overrated.

    Hatton would have destroyed him.

Valero wouldnt have been able to deal with the way Ricky fought. He would of been too big and strong for him, and would have given Valero no space to think. Valero, mentally couldnt deal with pressure and there where some unfortunate consequences as a result of his weak mentality.

I actually think it would be a very close fight, not a one sided destruction as most are here.

Hatton gets very undarrated here, he had excellent pressure and deceptively quick feet, he could go in and out, clinch, do his work and reset again. I don't think Valero is technical enough to outsmart him.

Then again, there's Valero's power, and he was a power puncher and wasn't afraid to throw, he had pretty good output. I think he could get Rick at the end of his somewhat wild combinations, maybe with that right hook (wich was Hatton's downfall against Pacquiao).

Close fight, if Ricky gets caught and don't recover that well i can see Valero scoring a late TKO. If not, Hatton by close UD.

    I got Valero, by murder.

But on a serious note. Ricky is alot more tested and from what I've seen Ricky should take this. Edwin is a stationary target and doesn't have good footwork.

The one thing that Edwin has for himself is a chin and a hard punch. Hatton don't have that bad of a chin so I acually see him stopping Valero late much like the fight against Kosta.

To be fair I don't know enough about Valero to give an accurate assessment, but I'd take Hatton easy...

Hattons downfall against Pacquiao was his £500 a day coke habit.

Hatton would get KO'd by Pac that night no matter what, it could be that same Hatton that beat Kostya. He was a sitting duck for that right hook.

It would have been a cocaine fuelled war between 2 aggressive monsters inside the ring, but the hitman would have walked through Valero's bombs and ground him down to a late stoppage. Prime Hatton ate Tszyu's punches for breakfast, assuming the fight took place at 140, Valero would not have enough power to keep Hatton off him.

    LOL

    Valero KO1/KO2 no joke

This guys seems to be blatantly underrated right now

Valero is problably more reckless but he's more relentless than Pacquiao.

BTW, Tzsyu is incomparable to Valero in terms of punching power. Ricky "face-first" Hatton will meet his doom earlier than what he experienced against Pac.

Pls don't give me sh*t about Valero belonging @ 130 lbs. Pac belong @ 130 lbs as well and Valero is slightly bigger then him

The more insane you guys think Valero is, the more Hatton should be scared on him cause Hatton is a face-first fighter. He doesn't run in the ring like some "slick fighters" you guys mostly admire.

Hatton vs Valero - POWER prevails do the math in this kind of match-up this ain't Broner vs Valero :nono

    :patsch

    Valero KO1/KO2? At what weight???

...and Pacquiao was a natural super feather who managed to carry his strengths up in weight. Valero was a natural super feather who couldn't, from the evidence available.

Pacquiao retained more of his respective speed and power against Diaz @ 135 than Valero did against Pitalua, Velasquez, and DeMarco @ 135.
