It seems like Haye is coming back and wants to be a World champion again. Lets face it there are not many opponents out there who have any chance at all against Wlad. If Haye managed to get to a mando spot for 1 of Wlads belts this could happen. Wlad would be very confident of a repeat victory and it would generate more money for him than any other challenger. If it happened what could Haye do differently to get the win? Obviously throw more punches and not just survive but do you think he could beat him? Would you be interested in the fight?
I dunno how interesting a rematch would be. Certainly there would be the pre-fight hype and Haye would come out with things like: "I know what I did wrong last time and I have a completely different game plan" and other bull**** etc Wlad proved his speed of foot and alertness is every bit as good as Haye's in their fight and if Haye tried to fight more aggressively he would leave a greater chance of getting himself knocked out. Haye landed a good right hand on Wlad in round 3 and yet Wlad still pursued Haye. Wlad landed a good right hand on Haye in rounds 5 and 6 and it was Haye who went even more defensive after this. To me it was Haye who was more fearful/respectful of Wlad's power rather than the other way round. However, both fighters were still too cautious throughout.
Your basing this on the one fight he has had since Manny Steward died? The fight where he basically beat the **** out of a heavy Pole with a great chin for 12 rounds and who was pumped up on roids?
I watched the Klitschko TV highlight which was like 15 minutes and there is a clear tide turn from round 5 or 6 on I admit in the highlights Haye early landed more power punches than Wlad and was very evasive and very alert in 5 or 6 he ate the biggest right hand of the fight buckled and looked ready to go but Wlad was unable to get in the finishing punch. Haye from that point on was never back in the fight, he never quite got to Wlad minus a few shots in the 12th and was strategically done after this point both men showed a large degree of respect for each other but Wlad was just better. He used his underrated speed and reflexes as well as his size and jab to dominate the fight and if Haye had taken more chances he would have ended on his back Wlad showed he could take Haye's firepower and Haye did not prove he could take Wlads firepower I think Haye fought the smartest fight he could but never quite got the opportunity he needed, i mean maybe next time Wlad is a little older and slower or gets a little more reckless i just dont know what Haye can do that will beat Wlad
Right like we have any evidence to substantiate that idea. It's like saying 'I believe Santa Clause is living on the far side of the moon'.
If Wlad fights like against Wach, then he kills this blown up Cruiserweight in Round 2. If Wlad wants to give his fans an "exciting" fight and stay calm, because of the advertisment in the break at RTL, he will again after UD .. or Round 9, 10 TKO/KO
You need to go to Wlads body and apply pressure to beat him. Haye tried to win with Valuev gameplan and that wont ever get the job done. I have no real interest to see a rematch. Style wise Povektin is a good fight for Wlad but unfortunately is not likely to happen.
Haye doesn't have a fifth of Wlads power. It will never be a fight. Wlad could be 45 and still dominate Haye
I agree with this. You have to apply pressure *AND* be able to take the immense amount of punishment Wlad dishes out. The blueprint to beat Wlad is the Brewster fight. You take Wlad bombs, let him throw the kitchen sink at you until he tires out, keep walking forward and then start landing your own bombs as Wlad slows down. Haye unfortunately doesn't have the chin for that. Counterpunching Wlad doesn't work. Ibragimov tried that, Haye tried that. The only thing that works with Wlad is taking his punches and trading with him.
