After thinking about it, I'd say Ali, but the first name that popped in my head was prime Tyson :think
My brain says Ali, but my gut says Tyson

    Ali, then Louis.

Tyson has a great chance of getting the job done, but I'm not overly confident he himself would be able to beat Ali or Louis.

  5. prime ali, no question. high ring iq, incredibly fast, decent power, infinite heart and an iron chin. i think in his prime he could ve beaten any heavyweight from any era.

Mike Tyson. Whoever picked Ali is kidding themselves. Ali has a higher chance of taking the fight to a decision whereas Tyson is a knockout artist. I'd rather rely on a guy who will most likely knock the other guy out then depend on a decision.

Doesn't matter, you could pick Audley Harrison and you'd be in safe hands just as you would Ali or Tyson.

The heavyweight they face behind the curtain is completely random, it's overwhelmingly probable that this fighter is one of millions of pro heavyweight who never made it to any level. The odds of it being anyone even semi decent (Witherspoon, Hide, Berbick) is remotely low. More than likely it'll be someone who's only fought a small number of times.

I might take a prime Foreman and close my eyes, praying that Ali isn't behind the curtain.

Ali. He's definitively my number one heavyweight (not nearly my favourite) in overall ranking and my perception of their head-to-head abilities.

    Louis and Holmes follow.

Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield and Foreman would follow them in the flawed but extremely hard to take advantage of when at their best category.

Those guys would be my three H2H tiers for the weight class, probably, off the top of my head, in terms of how they match up with whoever, across the board of styles and attributes.
