When I hear him in interviews he sounds scottish. any idea where he is from as his hometown county is listed as lancashire. is he just unfortunate to speak that way?
On the Matchroom website he is described as "the Scot from Blackpool" http://www.matchroomboxing.com/profiles/scotty_cardle.htm
I did what you should have done you lazy **** and put the search terms Scott Cardle and born into Google.....its like ****ing magic
Blackpool was a holiday town for Scottish people back in the day it maybe there of Scottish parents and lived there and went back and forth as kids. Same with my dad, Grandmother is from Govan and she'd take my dad and uncle from Pimlico and then Morden to Glasgow to visit family for weeks at a time.
I gather his parents are glaswegian and he was bought up in lytham near blackpool, he must have got his accent of them
His family are scottish, hence the accent. Say a child grows up in germany but has an english family, very often they'll speak english with an english accent. Just how it rolls
Like Irish travellers in England Martin j ward sounds like he was brought up in Ireland Same as john o donnell and the two wards in Durham Not so much uhughie and Tyson fury
