Read this, about 60/40 pundits predict Abraham to win. Abraham was outclassed by Dirrell in the fight before that but he was still very highly ranked and thought of. To say beating him made you a paper champion was farcical. Beating someone like Glen Johnson and Allan Green yes, they never stood a chance in the Super Six, they were just came in to make the numbers up. Abraham was one of the original favourites until he was exposed as being too small for guys like Froch and Ward.

That is an oxymoron. By mentioning them, you are recognizing them!

I do not recognize SZF as an alphabet organization; I have never heard of it, it seems literally I just pressed three keys on my keyboard. But WBF I recognize as the World Boxing Federation, and the World Boxing Foundation; WBU, as the World Boxing Union and the IBF as the International Boxing Federation. I thus recognize them all, as I suspect so do you!

That's the Brit forum though, from what I remember most people had Abraham favourite outside of the Brit forum.

Was nowhere near as bad as with the Bute fight though, he was a huge underdog there.

You don't seem to understand the context and precise meaning of the word "recognised". I recognise them as I know what they are, but they are not recognised World Championships, not major sanctioning bodies recognised by the IBHOF.

I think you know exactly what I mean, you're just being pedantic again and petty

If Adrien Broner is counted as a two time world champ I don't see why not

On the British forum, I've just stumbled upon this thread, but the general boxing fans had Abraham DESTROYING Froch

Remember this was before people realised Abraham was absolute **** at super middle, I remember clear as day many many people saying Abraham would own Froch, cus Froch was to slow, too wide, not good enough a boxer, Abraham had too much power etc.

boxers these days need to stop counting the belts especially in the unification fights, its the same world title FFS

    Let's take Evander Holyfield

    undisputed Cruiser- 3 belts

    undisputed Heavyweight- 3 belts

unified HW champ against Bowe rematch- 2 belts

unified IBF and WBA again later v moorer- 2 belts

won wba from ruiz I think - belt

    calculator- 11 time champion

    maybe some ring belts too

stupid ****, luckily guys like Evander dont mention all the BS.

So we are getting somewhere. I guess you consider 'recognition' to be defined by the International Boxing Hall of Fame? If so, why is that?

As I said previously, I singled you out because I consider your reasoning lazy and cliche. I am not saying you are right or wrong, I am just trying to find out, how you come to your decision.

Not just the IBHOF, but generally around the world, those mentioned are the 4 major sanctioning bodies. It's pretty clear what I meant.

Whether you consider that a cliche or lazy I couldn't really give a monkeys. Go troll someone else

The fact that titles need to be dissected to determine whether they are actually World Titles or not demonstrates the futility of the exercise here.

Wicky was 140lbs Lineal Champion 2005-09 and also won a world tikle at 147lbs.

In case you didn't know, or had forgotten, he won his light-welkerweight tikle at the MEN arena against Kostya Tszyu in front of over 20,000 pwoud fans.

What is 'pretty clear'? 30 years ago the WBO did not exist, and the IBF had barely started. Both are basically WBA off shoots, so why do they get your kudos, but not say for arguments sake, the WBU or WAA?

3 time champ. Belts that have a strong history of top fighters holding it are how I decide which
    Titles to recognise.
