Problem is that people forget the past. They judge on the present. It's like when ******s say that Kobe is better than MJ. It's difficult for most to appreciate what fighters of the past did. You can't live and feel the past. Only a few have the ability to study/analyze and somewhat bring the past to the present with an open mind. It was tougher back in the day. It's very difficult for me to take fighters of the present over legends before them. It's a different time. It's easier to avoid the pressure of fighting certain opponents now a days.

The fight would end up on the inside.

Duran is clearly the superior fighter there.

That is the end of it.

At Welter, Duran would mess Floyd up.

Lightweight would be more interesting as Floyd was very fleet-footed there, enough to cause real issue (not that he'd win), but it was Mayweather, not Duran, who lost most of his footspeed with the jump up to 147. That didn't really happen to Duran until the next division up.

All we need now is JMP to come in the thread, make a few points and then leave in disgust.

Floyd is just too technical for Duran who is a face first Brawler with a limited skill set. I think Nostalgia has a lot to do with pertaining to the support he receives from the 40 year old male plus demographic.

Floyd understands that if he eats a Hot Dog fast enough Duran will not be able to eat that specific Hot Dog therefore he cannot pull the 'No Mas' number on Mayweather Jr. this cancels out his clear advantage for making tacos previous to the fight. In conclusion Floyd is better at playing Golf than the Mexican.

What SRL has to say about Roberto "hands of stone" Duran.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6s8tGmXHJIY (see: 31.43)

SRL's reaction to Duran's victory over Davey Moore:

"I just looked at Duran and said... Man, you know, you ARE the BEST!...you...you're IT!" ... Sugar Ray Leonard ('Beyond The Glory')

    I agree with SRL!

Depends, Duran would win if he placed the thing upon his threshold, but would rather not pertain in dispose of most everything upon which can be reveled in. Maywweather, on the other foot, might going badly when toting a long while. In summary, Duran and Mayweather doesn't particularly entertain the gracious here and there, although the jab is under the cot.

Duran UD or late Knockout depends wether Floyd uses his feet or just relies on his defense against the ropes.

Floyd have that bad tendency to retreat straight back to the ropes, Duran would have a feast with Floyd who's smaller and less powerfull. In the first couple rounds Duran might have some trouble landing clean, but the bodywork would slow Floyd's defensive moves.

Duran was also an amazing out-fighter, in Montreal in some stops he was actually outboxing SRL in the middle of the ring, countering over tha jab and then closing the distance.
