Because sometimes you have something to say, but it doesn't warrant its own thread, nor is there an existing thread to say it in. For instance: Chidi Njokuani just got choked out by Jeremy Kimball :-( Think he was going to get a call from the UFC had he won tonight.
On the other hand, Brandon Thatch won very impressively, and will almost certainly be in the UFC soon. He is a training partner of GSP, who speaks very highly of his skills. RFA card was good, but it would have been better had the Sergio Pettis fight not been scrapped.
Anyone on the card worth keeping an eye on? Looking at the card, I think the only guy I recognize is Joaquim Ferreira.
Fabio Larvinha Oliveira is the only one I know, outside Joaquim Mamute that you mentioned... Apparently, Cyderlan "Crazy Pig" is not on the card anymore...I don´t remember this guy too well but his nickname is pretty cool.
Does Alistair's muscle mass help or hurt his ability? I think he's a bit too top heavy. How good could Stefan Struve be? Seems to have all the tools except a brain.
Some say it could be have been the humidity mmmm or Kimball is a dark horse. ********************************************************************* On my youtube Ive subscibed to about 8 or so channels that regularly upload amateur fights. One thing that aggravates me is the amount of times wrestlers get the take down yet the aggression is minmal at best on top, they could easily throw some punches yet they dont or if they do their fists hover over the top of the opponent waiting for an opening. If you have top mount finish him. A few posters on here compete in the ammys so what gives ? Surely the coaches must realise the vast potential of striking ability, especially for wrestlers who have the ability to bring the fight to the ground. Stop hunting for subs and drop some elbows.
Good idea Anyone know if/when Wonderboy is fighting again? And SFL is on next week isnt it...cue the music...
Nick Ring and Chris Camozzi on a main card with talented potential future world champions or top fighters deep on the undercard pissed me right off !!!!!
Was going a little far with future world champions but was super impressed with the undercard, Dillishaw and Mein in particular And was watching Ring vs Camozzi with my mouth open thinking this is absolutely dog **** !!!!
It's a wash. When he was smaller he didn't have good cardio either. But now he has the strength to absolutely break the spirit of other fighters. Wasn't gonna happen against Bigfoot. I think that's a fight that either of them could have won on any given night.
Overeem overpowers him with a quickness. There is of course the chance that Arlovski lands a shot and ends it, but Overeem should be able to take it early.
