Matthysse by late round TKO. Peterson is a well-schooled fighter and he won't go down easy.

Matthysse hold the advantage in styles. Peterson likes to fight in the trenches and that's where Matthysse will break him down. He's not good enough to outbox Matthysse and he's not strong enough to outpunch him.

Dont see Peterson going down too easy.

Ortiz hit him with everything and couldnt finish him off.

I'm pretty sure that Mathyse hits harder than Ortiz. It's a speed thing, not a strength thing.

Also, Mathyse has a way of throwing those bombs from odd angles, and catching his opponent by surprise. Ortiz is a more straight-ahead puncher. It's the ones you don't see coming ....

Perhaps, but Ortiz does hit like a mule.

The Mayweather fight was his first pro fight where he hadnt floored a guy

I have a feeling Peterson pulls of the (apparent) upset here. His inside strength and body work will be BIG factors in this bout. That brutal body attack of Lamont's is going to be taking away a lot of Matthysse's power by the late rounds. If he can avoid getting caught with anything stupid early, I can see him nicking this. If Lucas manages to stop Peterson then I'll finally admit he's the real deal.

Matthysse is one of my favorite fighters in the sport today, and I will be rooting hard for him here. But he is getting slightly overrated these days. He will not be knocking Peterson out. If he does I will gladly say I was wrong. But not being able to stop Peterson is nothing to be ashamed of. I don't think anyone 147 down stops him.

I just am hoping Matthysse can outfight Peterson down the stretch to capture the championship rounds, then get some fair judging to decide the true winner. Will be a close fight either way.....

    **** YEAH!!!!

Matthysse by TKO in a war and people will continue to claim he's the man at 140 until he gets beat up by Garcia. Alexander by TKO after winning every round
