Quebecers prefer the quiet and polite style of Bute though , a lot of peoples ( usuely non fans) wich Bute KTFO Pascal and his big mouth.

Quebecers who root for Pascal saw him fight and respect is lion heart

    :p

Bute is quiet and polite but Pascal is a quiet polite guy at heart too - if he sometimes acts a little bit differently, it's mainly for show, right?

And Bute also has a lion's heart, Pascal fans know this.:D

For me, personally, right now, yeah, I support Bute a little bit more than Pascal, but only a little bit more. By the end of the fight, I will support the fighter who fought the braver fight and who got the fewer gifts from the referee and judges, even if it's not Bute. :good

This is exactly why I get pissed off when people assume I don't like Bute.
He's shown the dedication and ability to make it to a relative pinnacle in the game, but deep down he's more like the vast majority of people mentally.
I think he's just a normal guy who was born with a particular gift, and given his head may not have the same ruthlessness of say,Hopkins,it makes how far he got more remarkable.
Yet we could be wrong and he'll come out all guns blazing mentally, but he's not the first not to be the same after a big loss.
This is actually quite a tough fight for him to take given he seemed a shadow of himself for most of the Grachev fight.

Well, mentally, he may not be a super-alpha guy/vicious-aggressive, but he is not like most people mentally, clearly. He is very tough, mentally. Were he not, would he have beaten the count against Andrade (1) or decided to come out against Froch knowing that he would get knocked out?

Froch is not a super-alpha either. Neither are Kessler, Calzaghe or Ward or... Wlad...

    Hopkins on the other hand...;)

Regarding everything else, his level of discipline, dedication, focus and self-sacrifice...well, that shows the kind of mental strength that only 1-2% of people have...

I spoke with both ( a litlle) and Pascal seems to be closer to his fans and you can talk to him like you talk with a friend.

I'm thorn between the 2 maybe 51% for Bute :D

I have always suspected that Pascal was more approachable and more friendly. Bute, I think, is better at playing the role of someone who is approachable and friendly...

Bute would be a better friend to have but Pascal seems a lot more fun to be around and would be easier to get along with too.

51% is close enough to swing both ways, Badlok. You will only know whom you truly support slightly more during the fight... and it could be that your heart changes half-way through! ;):p

Nah... you should only be unhappy if it's not a great fight or if a fighter gets help from the ref/judges or if the fighter's performance is disappointing on the night. Otherwise, this fight is a gift from Pascal and Bute for the people of Montreal/Quebec for all their support in the last couple of years and it should be a celebration.

What would make me really happy? A great fight in which I hear the crowd cheering both fighters as much as their lungs will allow them to, a fight in which everyone in the crowd cheers every great punch and every great move!:happy

Are Romanians G? Bute certainly isn't G. When he tried to act G, like against Froch, he got so cocky he got destroyed in a few rounds. Bute at his best fights a smart, sharp, careful fight. What happens when that right hands lands on his chin, when Pascal hits the back of his head in the clinch, when Pascal rushes him? What happens if Bute cannot land his moneyshot on Pascal? Roughing it up with Pascal or trading with him would be madness, not G, imo.

I think I may have put my point across slightly incorrectly Dece.
I'm not slating Bute at all,but I had a discussion on a previous thread where I was discussing with someone(Cloudz?:huh) where I said he's just too much of a normal guy(in a good way) to have that 1-2% you talked about.
That's why I keep saying it's not as if he's still not a top 5 SMW right now.

And you seem quite deflated when discussing him nowadays. At least you got to see a fight when you spent big.
That Ricky Burns debacle has cost me a non-refundable fortune.:-(

Pascal on points. Whilst he does fade in fights I think he can build up a big enough lead and hang on down the stretch.
