Boxing again dropping the ball, knowing ahead of time Morales had tested positive, they still let the fight go on.

For Morales, its just somewhat sad he had to resort to drugs to attempt to revive his career.
I just hope it does'nt taint his brilliant career. I dont think he deserves that for a bad decision made out of desperation to revive his body and thus career.

That's their way of retiring him. What was Berto and all the other guys punishment? It's totally inconsistent.

I don't think it should just be allowed to slide, but at the same time, Peterson was back sooner than that, and was far more suspicious.

But who is he banned by? USADA? One of the State Athletic Commissions? It's not like the UN can ban him and there's no unified international boxing commission.

Golpe A Golpe said last week that he's coming back in May.

Why the **** would Morales take a steroid at THIS stage of his career?

Could understand it for the Barrera trilogy, or even the shot Maidana fight....

,,,,, but then again it's Erik Morales - one of the toughest but fairest guys you'll ever see

    I'm not buying it.

LOL at people who don't believe Erik Morales is capable of using of PED's... because he's too good and too entertaining and too true to himself blah blah blah... hahah you guys are jokes. Naive bias stupid sports fans.

It seems strange that he would get a longer suspension than other folks who have tested positive for the first time. He should be suspended the same as any other first time offender under the current precedents, which seems anywhere from 3-12 months.

That said, I support anyone who thinks Morales should retire and never fight again.
