In private Tszyu used to say he wanted to fight the best but never did, paid undercard fighters in tickets, racially vilified his opponents, bailed his criminal relatives and acquaintances out of jail and provide bull**** alibis for them. He was also incredibly un-gracious in defeat and claimed victim status whenever his aspirations were never quite met. He also used to think the fact that he didn't drink made him a role model.
