was in the mood for some great technical displays earlier, so i watched the full Rose vs Harada, Whitaker vs Nelson and kalambay vs McCallum fights for the first time in years.

Great stuff. Then a couple of hours ago i had the idea to rewatch through Morales' significant fights and try and re-appraise him...fearing i've gone too far in my trolling and clouded my judgement of the man's ability too much nowadays.

So i settled on Morales vs Zaragoza as an ideal starting point.

Bad idea.I had to turn it off after 5 rounds; the slop filled box-fighting near enough assaulting my eyes after the earlier fistic mastery i had viewed.

I'll give it a few weeks and try again.

I would say if Barrera, Morales and Marquez can make McGrain's top 100.....

He looks superb against Mando Ramos as well. 5 years after the first two Ortiz fights.

I haven's seen the second fight but the third one is a great showcase of Ortiz's subtle counterpunching abilities.

    Yeah, but it's Ramos.

Even Arguello would look good against Ramos.

Looks like Joe Louis at times for me.

That counter right in the 4th is perfection.

    Nah, he's not that mechanical.:D

More like a much more skilled version of Basilio in a boxing mode.

He did look like he had Louis' legs when he chased J. Bizzarro all over the ring though:D

I like that sneaky counter left hook of his - excellent timing.

Ortiz is the definition of unflashy complete all-around fighter.

    That he is.

He'd run Floyd Mayweather close over 15 :D

    Beauty is truth, truth beauty.

It's time for you to watch Nazarov's reign of terror, LR.

    Rewatched Conteh-Ahumada.

Damn, the move Conteh pulled as he scored with a right hand in the 8th round - even Walcott shat himself in disbelief.

    Beautiful smooth headbutts by Conteh.
