Thats right ,Ward is either going to retire or fight jounerymen for the rest of his career....You're what they call an idiots idiot. To stupid to be just an idiot.
1) Froch vs Kessler 2 winner 2) Grove vs Stiglietz winner 3) Dawson II at LHW One fight only (i.e Mayweather-De la Hoya) 4) Pascal-Bute winner 5) DIRRELL...
Laugh all you want bro...but the fact is this...athletically he is far more talented than Ward...he has a tremendous boxing IQ & is ambidextrous...he is the only real threat to Ward... Ward, Hunter & the team know this...they know. not Bute, not Froch, not Dawson, not Hopkins, not Cleverly, not Pavlik, not Kessler, not Groves, not Degale... Dirrell...
Below Spot on post One Round. Cloud has just lost to a 48 year old GGG still hasnt fought anyone and is a MW, so I could see that as a possibility Dont think Ward would fight Cleverly at LHW Did he fight Bute? NO. Bute was an undefeated world champ, who had been a SMW champ longer than Ward and although hadnt beaten the top man, had beaten more top 10 SMWs than Ward. Still what would Ward gain fighting a 48 year old? People slate a 36 year old end of career Calzaghe for beating a 43 year old Hopkins having his best run at LHW, so the fans wont want Ward to face Hopkins and would be terrified that he may lose
Great post. To me this is THE super fight at 168-175! But the thing is, Dirrell needs to beat a legit opponent or get a title to get back into contention, this fight won't happen until it makes business sense so Dirrell needs to raise his profile.
Problem is Pascal couldnt beat a 46 year old at two attempts. This is when I say the divisions are weak at present Another thing here though KO is that the Hopkins fight wont happen and Hopkins is 48. Dawson may have been ruined from his weight loss, we wont know until later and Dawsons big win is a 47 year old. Froch and Kessler I think are a bit past their best after hard and long careers. If Bute beats Pascal convincingly that could be a good match up, but Ward didnt seem to want to face Bute at SMW so doubt he will want to at LHW, its perfect now if he doesnt want to as they will be different weight divisions, or Bute would have to do a Dawson and drop back. Cleverly I think would be a good match up but dont think it will happen. Nathan has shown he is willing to defend in America, we dont know if Ward is willing to even challenge outside of America Dipset, do you think with the reasons you note, this is why Ward wasnt in any arrangement to face Dirrell when they were supposed to? As I understood a venue hadnt been decided as Dirrell I read didnt want to fight in Oakland and I heard neither went into training then Dirrell dropped out in strange circumstances where he said he was unwell but was apparently in the gym before the Ward fight would have even happened. Super fight? Dirrell lost to Froch was KOd by AA
I suggested that as a possibility and think it would be a good match up. Cleverly is an undefeated world champ, but last time Ward had a LHW champ to face, he faced them at SMW
I am fully aware of the circumstances behind Super 6, what I stated is truth Dirrell is the only viable threat to Ward...name another....come on ? Just because you take issue with his departure from the tournament...don't sleep on his ability & talent to challenge Ward.
Bute signed a two fight deal with Froch after the super 6. Ward didn't fight for the best part of a year after the tourney.... If Bute beat Froch that a fight thats would of tied him up almost two years so Bute never gave Ward a chance to fight him.
