Ok the eye was bad but the same fella fought with a ****ing BROKEN JAW when he rallied to beat Miranda in their first fight. To me, Abraham looked very disinterested, retreating at will and Stieglitz could do what he wanted to do with him. After the defeats he had, mentally as a fighter he is just very fragile.

He was pulled out from the Doc and Wegner! They ask if he could see anything... he said no and then they pulled him out!
And this was right so! AA would have been hurt very badly if he fought on with this eye! Just look at the right hand from STigelitz who caused this eye! AA was hurt very bad after the shot! Never seen him like that! Stieglitz also said that he improved his power! I thin after this fight we cam believe him.:bbb
Stieglitz the first guy who was able to stop AA!:D

Abrahams body language didn't appear to have the same desire as before but at the same time its difficult to say because he did fight with a broken jaw and his eye was completely shut.

Froch absolutely ruined him I think.

He's never been anywhere near the same since.

    Hahaha yeah:patsch
AA looked good in the first fight against STieglitz! EVerybody in germany said that AA has improved! And now he is suddenly done just because Stieglitz finished him in three? Stieglitz looked very strong last night! And he did to AA something what nobody was able to do!

Abraham has never been that good at 168lbs, he's too small for the weight.

You saw it in the Super Six, he was completely out of his depth against fighters who have a bit of tactical nous and knew how to make the most of their physical advantage (e.g. height and reach). He spent all night chasing shadows against Dirrell, was completely out-classed by Froch and then was handled with no difficulty whatsoever by Ward. He just doesn't have enough to his game IMO to work out how to beat larger fighter and quicker fighters.

Stieglitz is a good fighter but not amazing, he's like Bute in the sense that he can beat run of the mill challenger but isn't good enough to be called elite. AA got a good win against him to win the WBO belt but it was hardly a fight between to amazing fighters. It was just two very good but limited fighters who both allowed the other to do their thing.

Abraham should go back to middleweight, there's some big fights for him there at the moment. SM just isn't in him.

:deal Good post! I agree, he's only 5ft9, so he's not like Kessler, Froch or Ward at 6"1, who are all fairly big super middleweights and in the ring he looks like he's not in the right weight division against these guys. At Middleweight he was a force and had a record of something like 30-0! He couldn't back Stieglitz up at all last night and was being forced back onto the ropes. He could mix it at Middleweight where there's still some big fights there!

Stieglitz is decent but Groves would be too classy for him imo

Glad he was pulled out, he could have suffered worse than a broken jaw if he was allowed to carry on.

They were trying to buy him time and just ignored the ref like he wasn't there. Ref didn't take it and called it off, thus Abraham and his team being all surprised that it was stopped.

nope they talked with the doc ad he said that he cant carry on... man do you even understand german? if not why do you think you can argue here? If Wegner und the Doc say they pulled him out because of the eye it is true! The ref pulled him out because wegner and the doc said that AA can carry on!:patsch

Time for AA to retire or drop down in level and fight for European title. I mean he looked like a dead man walking at MW and it was well known he struggled terribly to make 160 so for me to go back down at this stage in career is madness.

Those IBF title fights i think although winning took even more out of him then needed. They should of stayed of moved up earlier to adjust to weight more. Although don't think it would of made all that much difference. Style and size really hindered him...

He couldn't see out of one eye. I would think whether he was pulled out by somebody else or by himself it was the right decision.
