They'd leave an opening that would likely see them get knocked out. Only Hearns or McClellan probably have enough of a punchers chance with their speed and power combination. Both have poor defences of their own.

 

People seem to think Jones hit like Whitaker for some reason.

 

And most 147 and below would respect Whitakers power and some get KO'd by it. Yet people don't realise what a devastating puncher Jones was, I suppose it's lazyness of not looking beyond the Toney/Hopkins wins and actually look at how good the opponents were that Jones disppossed of in a few rounds

 

Who has ever said anything of the sort? I'm pretty sure most recognize Jones as the vicious puncher that he was.

 

I thought he gassed a bit in the mid rounds against both Duran and Arguello. I know, it's ****ing Duran and Arguello after all, but Sal's gas tank was limitless.
