Not a huge fan but this is unfair, he's a damn good fighter that reached his limit. His contributions and accomplishments speak for themselves.

He's not "All Hype," but his resume is a bit overrated when you factor in the context of when he met some of these "quality" fighters in their career.

Beating down Morales and MAB is an amazing feat, but to be fair Morales and MAB were a little past their prime when they faced Manny (especially that last fight morales had with Pacman, it was embarassing to watch) and both of those guys were already worn out from their fights with one another in probably the craziest trilogy of boxing.

I was not impressed at all with Pacman's move up to lightweight because he didn't fight any of the top tier LW's and disappointingly went after a glorified club fighter in David Diaz. That was an abomination to see, yet everyone was hyping up how he won another title in another weight class.

De La Hoya was weight drained to put it nicely against PAcman. Oscar hadn't made 147 lbs in about a decade, and it was moronic for him to meet him at that weight. Oscar was about 35 or 36 at that point and WAY over the hill.

The victories against Miguel Cotto and Margarito would've been exponentially more impressive if he had fought them before those 2 had the war of a lifetime and essentially ruined each other's career for the most part (Cotto has done OK ever since, but he still hasn't been himself at all post Margarito I)

Hatton was mentally and physically destroyed already by Mayweather, Pacman basically sealed Ricky's early retirement.

There is nothing too impressive about beating a past his prime Clottey. The guy has pillows in his fist and just keeps a high elbow guard all fight. That was one of the most pathetic performances I've seen in a "big fight" from a fighter in quite some time.

And lastly, I had Marquez winning all 4 fights he had with Manny. Even if the 1st round of the first fight is scored properly, I still had JMM winning that initial fight.

Still, Manny is a great fighter. He's had some really good matchmaking occur by his promoting team, especially when he started climbing up weight classes. But when I read people easily put him as a Top 15 or 20 fighter, I cringe at the thought. He's an ATG, but not that great.

Neither Canelo or Sergio compete in his weight class. So being that we're talking about fighters outside of his weight class, the answer has to be the Klits. They are the toughest fights out there for Floyd, which is why he doesn't want anything to do with them.

He fears Canelo more because Canelo's actually a plausible opponent. Sergio and Floyd will never fight as they are about 20 lbs different in weight.

No doubt that Mayweather is shitting in his pants after seeing what Canelo did to the likes Josesito Lopez, Matthew Hatton, and Alfonzo Gomez.

i'm rooting for Trout, but now, i'm kinda hoping that Canelo can pull it off.

this reminds me of the pre-Mosley fight talk..

these type of threads will be bumped and laughed @.

Stop distracting from the point. Theories of corruption with Clottey aside, Manny's achievements cannot be the product of simply hype.
