Clean sweep for Monzon is interesting.

Got more coming including Foreman v Holmes, Ali v Louis and Buchanan v Camacho.

I think Curry would have beaten Palamino.

The Holmes v Liston panel picks are reasonable with one going for Holmes and two for Liston.

It's interesting to see Steward pick Chavez over Duran. Gotta mind, this was before he worked with Chavez.

Holmes would have beaten Liston on points. He's got the durablity and recovery powers to bounce back from the tough moments he'd encounter throughout the fight. He's got the better boxing ability and speed. And in my opinion, the better jab too.

Monzon was a very awkward and effective fighter. Not many pick Hagler to beat him.

I didn't want to click on this since the last mythical matchups where they had Ortiz Koing Whitaker... Sadly I did open it and was disappointed again.

I'm the opposite. The more I watch him, the more I think he instinctively understood more about boxing than most trainers.

He might not have been explosive or dynamic, but he had talent to spare. His opponents nearly always end up forcing the fight, and Monzon never has any need for a comeback K.O or suicide rush.

He operated under the understanding that championship boxing is about control. Steely focus, not giving anything away for free, work until you have control, and then utilize that control to win rounds and punish opponents that become desperate when the fight slips away from them.

The ability to land fluent, explosive combinations isn't so impressive in the face of that, or Shane Mosley in his prime would be held in much higher esteem than Carlos Monzon.

    Liston-Holmes could go either way.

Duran-Chavez the same, disagree with a late TKO in Duran`s favour though, this is a close points war all day, every day.

Hagler beats Monzon for me, better boxing ability, much quicker, more than durable enough to take Monzon`s best & go the full 15 at a decent pace.

Haven`t seen much of Williams but he must have been very good if he`s scoring a full sweep over the great Arguello.

I just don't think Duran vs. Chavez goes either way... Duran is pretty much superior in every area save a few.

I`d pick Duran on points myself but it would be close as hell, Duran is naturally a bit bigger & has more power in either hand, I think that might tell late on, not anywhere near the point of a stoppage but enough for a points swing for better damage done in close rounds most likely.

I think Duran could maybe stop Chavez. He's certainly free flowing enough with his punches. He'd never knock him out but certainly stop him on his feet. I think Chavez is too measured with his punches and Duran is too good defensively for it to happen the otherway around.

    Arguello beats Ike

Curry clearly beats Palomino and maybe stops him

    Holmes dominates Liston

Hagler-Monzon is a close fight, Hagler edges imo

    Duran beats Chavez

Yeah, Curry beats Palamino. Holmes maybe needs to climb off the floor to beat Liston.
