Gennady Golovkin vs A prime Anthony Mundine at 168

"The Pioneer" shits himself in the face of another quality fighter and chokes like he did do in his prime. Loses by either UD or gets KO'd.

 

I think KO loss. I don't think Mundine has the stamina to run the whole fight nor the power to stop GGG. I think GGG hits harder than Geale and I would be surprised if Mundine can stand up to the power.

 

Gennady Golovkin hits a lot harder than Daniel Geale.

The question is whether a peak Anthony Mundine would be elusive enough to not get KOed by Golovkin, and at the same time accumulate enough points to win. The 2013 version of Mundine wouldn't stand a chance against GGG.

 

Well if we are talking a Mundine in his prime, I think Mundine would have been been fast enough to hit and move, but if he got tagged it would have been an Ottke like result.

Mundine in his prime was unbelievably fast and he surprised a lot with his speed, I think GGG would have been the same.

I think it's a given that GGG would comprehensively beat Mandy now, particularly at JMW.

Mandy in his prime at 168 was pretty decent.
He would do to GGG just as he did with Green.

 

Mundine would be surprised by the accuracy of Golovkin's timing. I don't think Golovkin would stop him, until we actually see him at 168 then we are only speculating whether his power carries. Mundine took Kessler's best, bothered him because he was in retreat mode most the fight, but he took them ok. I think Golovkin decisions a prime Mundine at 168.

I think a prime Anthony Mundine does very well against a short overrated middleweight like GGG who doesn't really have any big names on his record.

People comparing a 6'1 monster in Kessler to a 5'9/10 middleweight in GGG are deluded.

GGG reminds me of the overrated Arthur Abraham, we all saw what happened there when he stepped up to SMW atsch

 

So Geale fans how would Geale go if he stepped up to 168 against a prime Mundine??

 

GGG is either completely overrated or completely underrated on this site, there is absolutely no middle ground, in my opinion he is being hyped a tad too much but the potential to be a superstar is definitely there, to compare him to arthur abraham is a joke.

Dunno, Geale has had 1/2 dozen or so fights at SMW, but he's never really been tested at that weight.
He was also never actually at the limit of 168, according to Boxrec, the heaviest he's been was ~165.

Mandy was definitely at his best at 168.

Personally I think he can always beat Mandy at any weight, but then I'm biased, and have been wrong before.

At their prime, Kessler would always beat Geale, Mandy, and GGG.

 

Not really, GGG would get squashed by Ward, Kessler, and Froch, just like Abraham.

 

A past his prime Mundine was able to land flush shots on Geale at 160
A prime Mundine at 168 lands more flush shots with more pop and hurts Gelae bad, probably stops him in mid to late rounds...

 

i don't think so, GGG is way more dimensional and adaptable than the crude slugger abraham, his footwork is excellent as is his timing and patience, ward would beat him at the moment thats for sure, froch would stand and engage with him so it would be a test of who had the better chin, and kessler is a tossup imo.

 

Easy to say that now about AA but when he was undefeated and going into the super6 he was considered a genuine chance to win.

Seriously who the **** has GGG beaten that is world class?? Proska goes ok but that's about it.
