Bear in mind one thing, D: Ya can change your personality, not your character.

I never said prime Tyson's behavior was an accurate example of how he is overall, I just said that in that time period he was indeed soft spoken and well mannered, generally speaking. Nothing wrong with saying that a person acted a certain way at a particular time.

Of the recent batch I gotta say Lamont Peterson. Most fighters are polite with fans, but there are some really shy dudes. One that was painfully shy of camera was Rico Ramos I think after he became champ.

the one at higher weights, he became more technical, so i can see why he would say he wasn't a beast, but there is no argument in my opinion of the lower weight version, although i do think pacquiao was a beast in any weight class

On topic Kessler seems like a great guy whilst looking like a bit of a beast. Cotto also, pacquiao, some others.

Lennox Lewis is a good one actually, defineatly had a brutal streak in the ring although he hid it well out of it.

Pac has been blindly fast 'n sensational, scoring highlight reel KO's, but he's 100% sportsman (won't retaliate a foul), not a beast, like Dwight Qawi or Aaron Pryor, who'd relish sapping you with brass knuckles, if given half a chance.

Well, he certainly was never up for any father/husband of the year awards and he put Teresa through hell trying to keep him on the straight and narrow, but AFAIK he was never abusive to her (aside from one drug-fueled minor domestic assault incident when they were newlyweds, after which he attended court-mandated rehab) and certainly not their kids. He loved them and tried his best, or else a strong woman like Teresa wouldn't have given him so many chance; he just couldn't outrun his demons.

Didnt Tyson mug some old lady in an elevator during his prime years?

Katsidis I'd guess fits this category
