Not being funny guys but if you dont like this opponent then think back to last december when it was liam walsh and then ocampo or whatever his name was.

Unbeaten south american with good knock out ratio. Good for his first fight with a new promoter.

I'd rather think back more recently when there was a unification bout lined up but he didn't want to accept the delay. He instead jumps ship and gets a shitter fight lined up at a later date.

I don't think it was the delay that bothered him, I think it was the issues around money, constant cancellations, and whether vazquez would actually turn up.

this. lack of exposure a big thing. trust me these fighters get pissed off when people come up to them in there home town and ask "whens your next fight" and its 3 days away!

Cleverly is facing the prospect of 2 back to back mandatory defences.

Mitchell was ranked no 1 when he fought Burns but wasn't a mandatory defence.

get the feeling frank pulled in a few favours from the WBO like he did when Brook switched over.

The Gonzalez fight was the one Matchroom and Team Burns were going to make from day one.

a difference between hearn and frank is that frank knows how to play the game especially with the WBO. If he wanted to avoid a mandatory he would find a way, Hearn has to play by the rules which is why you see his fighters having 2 eliminators and fighting for inter belts.

theres positives and negatives to both.

Come on, Eddie is playing the IBF bauble game big time. Every Hearn fighter an intercontinental trinket. He goes the eliminator route so he can milk the fans by giving them the same fight over and over again. The fighter's journey can then be hyped up.

Darren Barker IBF 168 top ten after beating Kerry Hope. Really?

It is great promoting, it is playing the game.

How big is Eddie (or small is Ricky!)
