I'd rather think back more recently when there was a unification bout lined up but he didn't want to accept the delay. He instead jumps ship and gets a shitter fight lined up at a later date.

 

I don't think it was the delay that bothered him, I think it was the issues around money, constant cancellations, and whether vazquez would actually turn up.

 

Cleverly is facing the prospect of 2 back to back mandatory defences.

The Gonzalez fight was the one Matchroom and Team Burns were going to make from day one.
