Ali getting up from Fraziers sledge hammer in their first fight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBmO7voAEXk
Tommy got up from 'that' knockdown against Barkley. The only man who was braver than Hearns was Richard Steele, for letting the fight continue! Knockdown from 1:45... [yt]iopkeD-B7Qs[/yt]
Incredible fight there. Just re watched Briggs v Lewis.. Briggs looks like he should be sleepung and just pops back up. Ironic how Cappuccino stops the fight after a wild missed swing.
Ali had a great chin. Something many people didn't notice so much because of his plethora of more obvious attributes.
Speaking of Lewis. The final KD of the 1st round vs Grant looked like it was the fight done but Grant somehow gets up. 3:30 on the vid for that KD but you need the context that he had already been battered and down a couple of times in the round: [yt]FpdGFK_mqZI[/yt]
Not exactly "how did they get up" more "how did they stay up/in the fight" but Bradley in ye first couple of rounds against Provodnikov and Dennis Andries in the 6th/7th round against Hearns (can't remember which one). The Andries one is a big knock down and then a hammering for the rest of the round, no clue how he made it out of the round.
Ali was turning his head the right way to not take the full force of that shot. Still ridiculously powerful hook and when he gets up he just looks pissed off that he had to go down.
Chin and a half! But **** me, that's one hell of a shot in the 15th round of a gruelling (not so much as Thrilla in Manilla) heavyweight championship bout, which Frazier had been battering Ali to the body and head all fight long in. Ali undisputedly had a cast iron chin and beyond human will to take that shot, he went down by sheer brute force of impact, an iron prosthetic chin would haven't sustained that!
The sixth, and yes it was a beast. Moore against Durelle was another classic example. I think he was down six times in the first three rounds. Although it did not turn the fight, Frazier got up from the knockdown against Foreman in their first fight, that lifted him off the floor.
