He was amazing against Ruiz as well, but he still wasn't quite as fast as himself at his absolute peak,he was a little easier to hit too.. Ruiz landed a couple flush shots on Jones face, that he wouldn't have at his peak...Roy's style had also changed a bit over the years. I read an interview a while back, when Roy was still on top, he was talking about how part of the reason he changed his style were hand problems... At his peak he was an awesome combination puncher, as time went on he started throwing one or two at a time, but still would throw a combo every now and again.
It would have to take something special to beat a fully fit and motivated 25/26, 94-95 version of Roy. I think a 1995 version of Roy would have breezed through the Super 6.
Jones reminds me a lot of Pacquiao. A physical freak who used drugs to enhance his already freak physicality and avoided as many real challenges as possible And just like Pacquiao, has an army of worshippers who give him pass on his cheating and bull****
That's why he was the first former 160 champ to win a belt at heavy in 106 years! That's why he won belts in 4 weight classes. He kept moving up in weight to avoid certain challengers right? atsch Try again.
