It's ridiculous that faux role models like Danny Green are applauded by the ignorant masses, he trumpets anything that he does for a bit of publicity. Australia's most hated athlete Anthony Mundine is also the best role model as he does stacks of good things away from the spotlight and preaches the virtues of clean living, instead of people praising him he is villified and hated upon which is disgusting.
People shouldn't judge or hate before making themselves aware of what he does, that is ignorant. He should be respected for his athletic abilities alone; highest paid NRL player at the time he walked out on principle and he is Australia's most talented boxer.
i dont think theres anyone in the country that doesnt WANT to like mundine but he just makes it too hard.. you cant run around telling people how youve got a big heart and do a bit of charity or whatever and then act like a complete ****wit 98% of the time. it doesnt work like that. this latest thing of claiming he was robbed is a case in point. the whole world can see he was flogged but he chooses pride over common sense. nobody can respect that.
Nobody likes Mundine because he talks about things that are hard for people to hear, if he disagrees with something or believes in something he speaks out irrespective of anybody's opinion. As for the robbery claims - have you even tried watching that fight without the awful commentary? If you have ever seen the documentary on Mundine he believes himself to be an entertainer, it seems like a lot of people don't get what Anthony is about which is a shame when these same people revere the likes of Green who give us fights like Siaca and Briggs.
Mundine's a terrible role model. He discourages unity between races, and if he is indeed looked up upon by indigenous youths, he's doing them no favours by claiming police great black people differently, etc. Yes he does decent charity work, but Osama probably made his mother breakfast in bed occasionally.
Mate, I have no problem with Choc, I actually backed him to beat Geale You can watch that fight with the sound down, up, sideways or while standing on your head. The fact remains Geale won in a one sided fight.
Mundine stands against racism. He isn't racist, white people don't like to acknowledge racism. The commentary was not an accurate depiction of what took place and I think Anthony has a case.
commentators dont influence the judges, i picked Mundine to win but honestly it was a one sided fight, Geale was just to much for him and Mundine has faded alot.

It shows you what a controversial figure that Anthony is to boxing. Hate him or love him he definitely has raised the profile of the sport more than anyone else!
