Pascal says he thinks Lucian should be the favorite of this fight given his carreer. That was classy. He also said Lucian is the best fighter he will share the ring with.

Roy Jones looks like he's aged an extra 10 years everytime I see him, both him and Hopkins should be shipped off to a retirement home.

 

It wasn't classy, he's just trying to make it look like a real challenge to sell the fight when it's actually a cherry pick at this stage, at least on paper. Cocky fighters praise their opponent when they know they're the heavy favorite.

 

Except it isn't cherry picking in this case. :hat

 

Fighting a guy coming off a brutal KO and a lackluster performance against a B level fighter is not cherry picking? :huh

 

Jean comes himself from a funny loss against a 49 yo and a fight against a B level. Plus his last meaningful win was almost 3 years ago.

You're comparing a clear but competitive loss against an ATG to a brutal KO loss against a guy who's far from great. You gotta admit that it's at least a cherry pick on paper.

 

Its not a cherrypick if you got your ass outboxed by a 47 year old.

 

I love how you guys keep emphasizing Bhop's age to make the loss look bad, as if he's a normal 47 yr old fighter.

 

This is the point I've been making too. Pascal is selling the fight. He doesn't fear Bute at all - I cannot believe how relaxed he is. Bute acts relaxed, he probably thinks he will win too, but deep down, somehow, he doesn't look as comfortable as he used to back in the day.

Pascal act like a good guy cuz in montreal they seem to hate his dickhead attitude. The crowd will probably be behind Lucian anyway.

 

Bute received more cheers from the fans but Pascal received more question from the press.
