Obviously Gamboa would be the favorite at the moment, and deservedly so.

In 2-3 years, however, I do not see why a more seasoned Gamboa could not outpoint or even stop Yuriorkis.

Dude, would you cut the **** with the anti-American bull****?

Who gives a **** if Gamboa has an Olympic gold to his name?

Define athletic. Does Gamboa move more than Broner? Yes. Is he faster and more explosive with his hands? I don't think so.

An olympic gold is a huge achievement and means you can cope with pressure and perform at the top level.
Gamboa is faster, more explosive, moves better, is more skilled.
And I'm not being anti-US, I'm just telling it like it is and wondering why an unproven fighter like Broner is given more credit than a more accomplished, better schooled fighter, with greater athleticism like Gamboa. Broner was getting tagged at will by Gavin Rees

Luckily enough, we might see this match sooner rather than later. Besides Uchiyama and Gamboa, there really isn't a whole lot of competition at 130. I dont think its that unlikely that Loma could win a world title within two years, and ten fights. Guys like Mendez and Martinez would be easy pickings for him:yep

An Olympic Gold medal means you perform at the highest levels of the amatuer ranks, a point that never seems to sink in with you.

As for your Gamboa comments, you're simply wrong. He moves more than Broner, but he is not faster of hand nor is he more explosive.

I find it hillarious, moreover, that the irony of you refering to Broner as an "unproven fighter" while touting Loma-- a kid who has never fought a round as as professional-- as the greatest thing since slice bread never seems to register.

You're clueless pal, amateur and professional are misnomers in boxing. Olympic boxing is losing the headgear and being judged on the 10 point system from this year as well.

    Clueless?

Yet you never addressed my comments.

Has Olympic boxing been fought to date without headgear and on the pro scoring system?

No? Then shut the **** up.

What comments? I addressed what you said when I told you that 'amateur' and 'professional' are misnomers in the sport of boxing. A point that doesn't seem to sink into your thick skull.

Ummmm.... my comment about the irony of you labeling Broner "unproven" while touting Loma, a man who has never stepped into a pro ring, as the next greatest thing.

    Remember now, you dumb ****??

Yeah- you also said that amatuer and pro are misnomers. How ****ing profound. :rofl

Are you quite certain you know what the word misnomer means?? LOL

Have enough brains to settle up at the bar and move it along. The longer you stick around, well..... you know the rest.

    :patsch

Maybe you don't know what the word misnomer means.
Amateur doesn't mean amateur in boxing and professional doesn't mean professional in boxing. I figured you'd be able to put two and two together to realise that's why I'm saying pro and amateur is irrelevant in regards to Broner and Lomachenko, if anything Broner is the 'amateur'. He's never fought for an Olympic gold or fought an elite opponent.
I don't know how I can spell it out any simpler for you you complete moron.

Gamboa was 28 and Rigo 29 when they went pro. Lomachenko will be 25 when he goes pro later this year...

dude they literally had to escape their country to become pro that's how bad they wanted it. Loma could have been 4 years into a succesful pro career by now, whats his excuse to stay in the lame am system? i highly doubt he goes pro later this year or even next year

Pretty ******ed. Broner destroys him. This guy has never been in the ring for a pro bout let alone someone as talented as Gamboa. Maybe in a few years it could be worth talking about but for now Lomachenko strives to be near as good as Gamboa.

    :deal:deal

that last line sums it up right there. loma can only hope to be a future 2 division and unified world champ as of right now. Gamboa is an accomplished pro, Loma hasn't even won a pro fight.
