Another quality interview from iFilm. Eddie and Kugan always good for a bit of banter and Eddie answered everything there with no bull****. Good stuff.

He's a very fair interviewer quite frankly. He's clearly good mates with Eddie Hearn but he never gives him an easy ride or treats him any better than he treats other promoters. He asks straight up questions of all the promoters and fighters that all us fans want to know. The reason he covers more of Matchroom than others is because Matchroom put on far more cards than anyone else and are more easily accessible. Still, he gets around the other promoters too and treats them all fine. You never catch Kugan having sly digs at FW like Bunce does at Hearn or having a go at other promoters saying they won't let him interview fighters like Bunce also does.
When you factor in all the other content Matchroom produce it wouldn't surprise me if that was correct.
If all the other promoters wanted to give Kugan 20 minutes of their time every time he tried to interview them, he'd sure as hell let them have it. Eddie is smart and knows the value of self-promotion and understands how valuable the internet is in terms of marketing yourself and your product. Not his fault no-one else seems to get it.
Agreed. He's very pally with Eddie but still asks the questions people want to know the answers to. He questioned whether Eddie having a monopoly on sky dates is good for the sport and today told him straight that he thinks it would be better if those dates were shared with other promoters. Never heard him slag off or have any digs at other promoters. He's entitled to have whatever views he likes, however biased/fair they may be as long as he doesn't let those views affect his work as an interviewer-and he doesn't so there's no problem.
