Boxers who seem unaffected by body shots

    Watching Muhammad Ali fights, the man seems to literally be unphased by body shots. You see fighters who get dropped from one well placed body shot, yet he took masses of body shots from one of the hardest punchers ever in Foreman, and Frazier three different times among others. I'm sure they did hurt, but he literally seems impossible to seriously hurt with body shots, never grimaces in pain or is visibly bothered by them at all?

    Is there any other fighter who seems to be unaffected by body shots?

    not that he gets hit there often

    Ortiz landed one or two hard bodyshots onto him that made noises. Castillo banged him with a hard straight right around the kidney while he was along the ropes, this also made a bang noise

    Ahhh, good shout. He doesn't get hit here often at all, but I have never seen him grimace or even bothered by body shots either.

    The way Ali survived Foreman's body shots was sick! We all saw what Foreman does to a heavy bag! My god!

    Actually ya know Foreman himself too them well in that round stomach. Under that fat was a strong ass midsection.

    Ali is obvious shout, there is video of him sparring 4 5 rounds i think and for first 2 it looks like he is dominated he actually let sparring partner land ton of body shot if i remmember correctly, i guess that is where he got so good at taking body shots.

    if you look at the way ali is built, barrel chested and super short torso (smaller target) you can see why he took those shots.

    In the fight with Matthysse he was taking sickening bodyshots but refused to go down
    I think alot of fighters its about their poker face you seem them stop punching after getting hit by a good body punch

    I'm sure a poker face is some of it, by Ali would take flurries of body shots, and come charging off the ropes right after, not hurt or the air knocked out of him at all? There were times in the Foreman fight he was throwing crosses while getting smacked HARD in the body and it didn't disrupt his rhythm at all, it literally didn't even make him have to recover at all... I don't get it :O

    Ali, Julio Cesar Chavez, and LaMotta are definitely the three toughest guys I've ever seen in boxing. Mentioning Margarito automatically evokes great controversy, but there was no denying he was as tough as nails either. I'd add him to the list of people who could take body shots all day long...

    Margo wasn't taking body shots very well in the Mosley and Pacquiao fights.
